I could not figure out how to adjust the clips because as you said you can only adjust so much with pliers. Didn't even consider using vice grips. Great informative video as always.

These clips are excellent and cheap but when I tried to order a couple from the US (they are not available in the UK it seems) an additional charge of $25 was added thus making it far too expensive. Any future plans to supply our stores I wonder.

how about adjusting clips to hold lid on tighter?

There needs to be some range since sometimes the inner pan is used and sometimes not. Why is it important to hold the lid more tightly? Is it just something you noticed or is there a practical reason?

Cess Outdoors if you go to firebox.com and order any item leave a note in step 4 that you want clips they will send you some free . Just tell them the size of your pot

I made a couple of clips from some spokes from an old bicycle wheel. About 2mm, maybe a hair less. I don't know - possibly the metal is a little too soft at the end of the day - I guess road testing will tell ...
