Actually.. it reconizes both but doesnt show 200% since the other battery will keep suplying the main battery it will stay at 100 for some time

Battery charge percentage that you see on your phone is based on a few factors but in simple terms it depends on the voltage between the battery terminals. All phone batteries have about 3.3V when discharged and 4.2V when fully charged. That's your 0% and 100% charge. You can have 2, 5 or 100 batteries connected in parallel (assuming batteries are identical) and they will have the same voltage across. Since you are doubling the capacity, you can go about twice as longer without needing to recharge. The only way to go over 100% charge is if you connect the batteries in a series, in which case (3.3 + 3.3) 6.6V empty and (4.2+4.2) 8.4V full. Which is too high and surely damage your phone.

@@tankiman3489 you'll need to jailbreak for that, the apps I use are only available for Android, but if you jailbreak, you can find an app called "battery life" and that will allow you to reprogram the battery by adding capacity and then cycling the battery

Absolutely not. The only way for this to happen is for the motherboard to request more than 3 ~ 4 amps of the battery, which is impossible for a cell phone and even tablets. The only way this could happen is if the board are shorted.

I still have the s4. Aftermarket parts are very cheap these days. Charging board from china are $3 at most. Edit: i have tried the double battery on the s4. Its actually easy. You stick the same s4 battery on top of each other. Then bridge the contacts on both batteries. Look it up on xda, you will find some pic examples

Does not work because.. iv done this I know Maybe it's the virson of android I used But once you charge the phone it only recanise the original battery So 100 on the battery is split 5050 At one present the phone thinks it's dead and will turn off regardless

it's parallel, when each battery has voltage as required for inputof phone, you add in parallel. When you want to double the voltage, you add in series. E.g. in flashlight, you can use 3 AAA batteries of 1.5V each in series, to get 4.5V.
