Perch Protection: gift an extra turn to player who's abot to die. also: gift an extra turn to the player to your right, which will scare the shit out of the two players to your left and going at him/her. love this card.

Man, I was really excited for the Animated Army deck, but I was pretty disappointed when the deck got revealed. After seeing gameplay videos with the deck I’m back to being excited for it again.

I like War's Toll in Bello. Stops the blue player from keeping up mana and youre going to have a lot easier time attacking than your opponents since most of your board will be indestructible. Probably want to find a way to tap Bello or make him evasive if you do this though Edit: With all the trample youre adding should also add Ohran Frostfang. Deathtouch Trample is stupid good

Might have cut too much ramp with bellow. The thing about this deck is it's really dependent on the commander. And he's gonna get killed. The ramp helps cast him again asap.

@@undeceased4574 Not the two mana artifacts, that's why you didn't see him cutting Gilded Lotus, for example. I'm surprised he didn't replace any of them though with Three Visits or Nature's Lore though,

I think you are spot on. Family Matters and Peace Offering are easily the over better decks. People just don't like them because of reprint value (Family Matters) and group hug (Peace Offering) not being usually too exciting and powerful. Squirreled Army has a lot of good reprints and Animated Army is really strong and simple out of the box. Making it easy for beginners. I think that the other two commanders have way more upside and in the future see more higher level play.

More often than not, there are misconceptions about the precons. One such example is peace offering from the new set. The deck once year to accumulate counters by group hugging Your opposition. think of it kind of like a magician waving his hands in front of your face while his assistant pulls rabbits out of her butt. you have no idea what's going on and by the time you figure it all out, he has a million rabbits running around the stage. My upgrade package will focus more on exponentially increasing counter accumulation without taking away from the group hug aspect of the deck. and I know some people think the toad was a bad idea. but for deck like this, it is absolutely perfect. but the way I would set it up is play a land or something else that removes your maximum hand size. as early as possible preferably. then, it would look like I'm just playing the game and have a a handful of cards. All along, I am biting my time. I will also be adding some counter spells that cannot be countered. so I can protect the toad

Asceticism could be really good in animated army, all your creatures gain hexproof also applied to your enchantments seems great in that build.

Except for 3 of the 4 turns on a table they aren’t hexproof since they aren’t creatures

I’d probably go molten gatekeeper in place of the Purphoros or more likely in place of the impact tremors as redundancy that’s more synergistic. Impact tremors you can’t copy and Purphoros copy would die to legendary rule I think. Could be wrong about that second part. Also in any red deck where you can make lots of copies in a turn I really like devilish valet as a payoff. It’s also one power for the synergy and can end games or draw removal while keeping your commander on line.

I know it's personal preference, so take this with a grain of salt, but seans counter intuitive to rip all of the group hug from the group hug deck. And the memory card...eye-dead-ick (phonetic) memory.

I understand your thought. I will say, however, that even a group hug needs to be able to close out. He pulled a lot of group hug cards, but if you keep in more targeted group hug it works better. Folks will attack you if you're helping everyone because the first place guy just gets farther. If you select who you're helping, you build stronger alliances. I've tried to do super group hug "everyone have fun" builds and usually I either get knocked out early or have helped others build so much that I can't get better than second place.

11:55 I’m going to disagree with you this replacement. Dictate of the Twin Gods is inferior to City on Fire because it has convoke and your enchantments can help pay for that convoke cost and it gets animated by Bello. Then instead of Sarruk and Goreclaw, how about Nylea, God of the Hunt? She’s lower cost than S&G, and while Bello will cut her to a 4/4 on your turn, he gets her to ignore devotion requirements and gives her haste.

Could Ocelot Pride work well in the family matters precon, as a 1/1 itself that can make copies of the tokens you created that turn. If you are able to offspring it and have the cities blessing the turn it comes in you'll end up with 4 of them at the end of the turn.

In bello im worried the deck won’t have enough ramp with that many of them cut and so many high cost cards . Ramp is really important in decks like that . Makes me think of my baru deck with high cmc wurms. Needs lots of ramp and has a lot of those power 4 or greater cards in it

Why didn't you use Unnatural Growth in the first deck? It's an Enchtment that cmc of 5 and doubles all your creatures power and toughness each combat?

Next time, maybe put a limit on the number of cards or budget. Because you didnt do an “upgrade”. You essentially rebuilt them from scratch when you replaced around 60% per deck.
