On the original gazebo how did you secure it to the deck I’m looking to do the same thing but I just want to build one on top of my deck maybe a little bit bigger and I’m just trying to figure out the best way to secure the four by fours to the deck

That original section, I ran 2x4’s between the 4x4’s as studs almost like how you would build a house wall… but the 2x4’s are horizontal instead of vertical. I just used 3” screws on the bottom stud that sat flush with the deck. Then I covered the whole thing with wood siding. Thanks man, take care!

@@BrianEaly yeah I was thinking I can just get some 4 x 4 mounts and screw them into the deck and then use two by fours to frame the whole thing and then do my lean roof I’m just concerned about hurricanes because I’m in Florida so I don’t wanna storm to blow the motherfucker right off the deck
