I think you should play lumineon to match the type and you have the option of drawing if you play research or you can get anything else like evo incense.

Lumineon could be an option. I use Lumineon in some of my other decks featured on the channel. However, I opted for Crobat instead for a few reasons: - Lumineon being water type doesn't really matter to me, as I don't ever plan on attacking with Lumineon - In a jam, it can be handy to grab a single supporter with Lumineon, like Boss's Orders to win the game. However, Lumineon's ability is largely redundant in a Shady Dealings deck where Drizzile and Inteleon can grab any trainer cards, not just supporter cards like Lumineon. Lumineon by itself can't grab items like evo incense, but Drizzile and Inteleon can. I prefer Crobat because it gives the deck a net new function of drawing a bunch of cards through a Pokemon, vs. Lumineon which is kind of redundant here and only grabs 1 specific card. Particularly in the early game, drawing multiple cards with Crobat has proven invaluable just to get the board set up with what I need. That said, if you prefer Lumineon in your Ice Rider decks, go for it!

I’m trying to find a spot for Radiant hawlucha for those mew vmaxes. Since it has quickshooting could get bigger vmaxes as well. I run into a lot of rogue vmax decks 😂

I have tried squeezing Radiant Hawlucha in there. However, it felt awkward having to coordinate between Hawlucha and Path to the Peak, since Path shuts off Hawlucha. Ice Rider is interesting in that it can technically tech for anything. However, there isn't enough room in there to really tech for everything. How you tweak the deck will really come down to personal preference!

Do you think the trainers toolkit would be good with the ice rider deck?

Generally speaking, the trainer's toolkit is a great investment if you plan on building multiple decks and don't already have the cards contained in the toolkit. At this point, would strongly recommend "the purple box" with the Lumineon cards, as that is the latest one and has the fewest cards rotating out next year. www.pokemoncenter.com/product/290-85045/pokemon-tcg-trainer-s-toolkit-2022 As for how it can improve the Ice Rider League Battle deck, there are a few cards in the trainer's toolkit worthy of inclusion: - Choice Belt is easily the best card for Ice Rider in the toolkit. Ups its damage against Pokemon V to 280, allowing it to one-hit KO VSTAR Pokemon. I always include 2 belts in my Ice Rider decks for that reason. - Cross Switcher could be used as an additional gusting tool that allows you to gust without burning a supporter card, which means you can gust and Melony on the same turn - Ultra Ball can be included to grab any Pokemon from the deck If you plan on building more than just Ice Rider, it's an easy worthwhile investment! If you're ONLY upgrading the Ice Rider League Battle Deck, you may want to consider buying the specific singles to upgrade the deck.

I like having both. I like being able to grab an evolution Pokemon without having to discard anything, but I also like having the option to grab any Pokemon, regardless of stage. In Ice Rider, you also get the benefit of discarding energy for Melony. The balance will really depend from deck-to-deck and from personal preference.
