Hi. You can try trying these troubleshooting guides. Changing channels, disconnecting and reconnecting. If none works, I suggest calling their tech support: www.soundtown.com/products/swm16-pro Interestingly, I have never experienced delays in my unit, so I am not very helpful in solving delays :)

Hi, I have the sound town swm 16 pro and the sound from the mic is not being heard though my speakers. I can see that the mic and receiver is paired by the green light on receiver. I am using the optical setup version. I connected one of the optical cables from tv to input of the receiver and the second optical cable from the output on the receiver to the optical on an Onkyo receiver. I have changed the digital sound output on my lg tv to pcm and hdmi settings to hdmi-cec. Can you help?

Hi. I assume you meant "mixer" and not "receiver". Anyway, sorry for the delay. Sounds like it may be an issue with the mic itself.

Here is my current system. Smart TV, Roku Ultra, 5.1 Speakers, and AV Receiver. The Roku Ultra is connected directly to the Receiver. Receiver is connected to TV. How best to set it up?

Hi. What you can do is connect the Roku Ultra to your mixer instead. And the moving forward, you can just use that set-up every time you need to use your Roku. You simply need to turn on your Mixer to use Roku. Hope that makes sense.

Usually I used the middle setting. But I suggest you try changing it up and down.. and find what you like best.

Hi po. I have a lg smart tv and bose soundbar with optical outputs. My mixer has rca in and out. I tried connecting a digital to analog converter from tv to the mixer. Then i connected analog to digital from mixer to soundbar. And its not working. I tried changing to PCM audio but still not working. What do you think is the problem? Hi. The way you described it should work! Just to check all converters work, can you try that connection without the mixer. Just connect the Aux cable from DAC into the ADC directly. Let me know if that produces a sound.

Hey mate - I've bought a mixer - I run an optical cable from my LG C1 tv to the Mixer - then an optical cable from the mixer to my soundbar - and the TV will only play sound via the TV speaker. Also - I get a HUGE microphone delay to the point it is not useable. I'm using the ACNOS MI30s and my TV is an LG C1 65" : I have my optical cable into the TV output and that cable is going into the Optical IN on my mixer. Then I have an optical cable going from the Optical Out on my mixer and this is connected directly to my soundbar. The microphone sound comes through the soundbar, but there is NO audio from the TV unless I set it to "TV SPEAKER" as the sound source. When I select Optical on my TV sound - and change it to PCM format - there is still NOTHING coming out from the soundbar. Also - there is a microphone delay so it's not workable for karaoke because the music is coming 1 second ahead of the microphone sound..... Any tips?

Hi. The delay is probably caused by the 2 audios being played on 2 different devices. You need to figure out how to play the music into the Sound bar. Question, if you connect the TV Optical OUT directly to Soundbar Optical IN, does it work? Also, are you using the same mixer that is in my video?

Sounds fine. Because it all depends on the quality of the sound. If your surround sound sounds great when watching a movie, then it is set-up just fine.

Any speaker will work. A PCM is required because that is the only format supported by the Mixer.

HDMI already contains digital audio. You didn't need to buy a new mixer if you just want to extract the audio from it and use Toslink.

Hi. I use a Receiver. Not necessarily an amplifier. But I thought you always need something to power up a 5.1 surround sound (unless you get the modern wireless ones). It really depends on what equipment you have.

Hello Sir, thank you very much for your lesson on how to connect a mic to TV for karaoke. I bought the same wireless 2-mic mixer as you suggested in previous video and managed to connect the mixer and tv and soundbar. However I am quite disappointed that the mic sound is very very low even when I have the mic, tone, volume all turned to max on the mixer. The only way to get the mic volume high seems to be to turn soundbar volume high. But then the music coming from you tube is very high and unbearable. What am I doing wrong? Or is it a limitation on the mixer? Or is there something I can do to troubleshoot this? Please help. Thanks.

Hi. Sorry for the delay. Either the mic or the mixer has a problem. I'd replace one of them to try to figure out which one is causing it.

On their home page it states following: What do they mean => Setup Requirement: The wireless microphone system needs to be connected to a powered speaker or an amplifier with passive speakers (with 1/4", 1/8” or optical inputs) to work. These devices are sold separately.

Very informative video. My TV has an optical output also, but in the sound option the only sound output choices are line out, tv, s/PdIf, hdmi arc headphone and line out. There were no PCM, What should I choose?

Interesting. Not really sure why you don't have Optical in the Sound Output. The sound output is a different setting, the Sound format is different. Set the sound format to PCM, and then try each Sound Output and see if any works.

Hello friend, Nicely explained by you. I need your expert advice. I have Mediacom karaoke, model no MCI 6800 TM, with two lovely wireless mics. I want to connect both the mics to external speakets and with two headphones and to TV for watching lyrics through KZbin. Two mics can connect either through supplied base unit or without base unit. My TV is smart LG OLED and has all latest technologies. We are team of professional singers. Hi. In this system, you won't need the Mediacom Karaoke. This is a replacement of that. Therefore, you would need all the devices I mentioned in the video. The link of the devices to Amazon is on the description.

While I have not tried it myself... I believe it is NOT possible to use HDMI for BOTH TV and Soundbar. It is possible to use HDMI from TV to Mixer (if your mixer supports HDMI (TV ARC), and the use Optical to the Soundbar.

Thanks for showing how to connect the Soundtown wireless to Tv and sound bar, after watching your setup I ordered exactly the same system and connected to my Samsung TV and Bose 600 with Bose 500 base module and two rear speaker, everything works great accept the vocal sound is not loud enough even with the volume set to maximum, can you show me how to get the vocal sound come out louder from the Bose sound bar? I think you can. But you need to change 2 settings everytime you switch. Output of the TV and Input of the soundbar.
