Adding a fish finder with mapping will change the Jon boat game. Having some way to mark spots and some type of navonics will help you figure out where you should actually be fishing.

Great Job my friend and lights are a game changer for late Fishing. I have a good friend that coated the foot wells of his Jon Boat with Bedliner so it wasn’t noisy and so slippery and man it’s amazing and feels great. There’s a channel on the KZbin called “Fish-N-Stuff that does Tons of boat DIY you would really enjoy also. Stay safe my Friend Semper Fidelis

Hey man, I am just getting into John boots and fishing up here in Arlington. Texas just got a 12 foot John boat and was looking for ideas on KZbin came across your page and watched a bunch of videos subscribed and liked your videos. Do you have any idea how much you have in the boat with all the extras you put on????

So after some ROUGH calculation, I think I’m at about $900. That’s including trolling motor, trailer and boat. Probably missing a few misc. items too. Good luck with your jon boat and thanks a ton for the support!

Do you feel like you really need the 2.5 mercury motor, I have a chance to buy one but I’m not sure if I really need it and can just use a trolling motor.

@@paulzaragoza3322 honestly it’s not THAT much faster than my 40lbs trolling motor. BUT it does help when I’ve gotten in some nasty windy conditions. I’d love to upgrade to a 7hp or 9hp.
