Have you thought about attaching a camera to the trolling motor? Toss a BIG mem card in it and external battery cable and just let it record from time to time. A beer and the fast forward button might find some really good B roll shots.

Here in Maui we have 3 to 4 differnt type goat fish. 1 is Weke. 2 Moana. 3 Moana Kali. 4 Kumu. Your fish looks like a Kumu. It's very tasty pan fried crispy and dip in Ponsu or shoyu. If I get a bigger size Kumu, I steam it with onions, green onions, shltaki mushrooms, and lup Chong (Chinese sausage). Sauce is shoyu, sesame oil, oyster sauce, sugar. Pour it over, cover and steam. You can steam...mullet, goat fish, uhu (parrot fish) I love to watch all your excitement in fishing and catch n cooks. I love seeing your family too.❤❤❤

An idea for you onboard fish cleaning: why not run a short take-off hose from your live well intake hose to have running water at the cleaning table on the gunwale? Hi from an enthusiastic kayak fisherman from Ontario, Canada 🍁!

Nice upgrade to the trolling motor. In addition to iki and bleeding, I've taken to scaling and gutting most of my fish as soon as I catch them. Made up a little stringer system much like American anglers use to stop myself loosing a fish.

Loved the mish mash vid! So many of our "rubbish fish" are delicious if we open our minds and learn how to prepare them. I know goat fish/red mullet aren't in that category but mack tuna are and plenty of others that people look down their noses at. Slimies a good example.

Hey bud, don't use trebbles for livebaiting. Use a single around 7 or 8/0. Even a circle of the same size tend to roll into the corner of the mouth and won't pull out. Good luck!

in the Med red mullet are a prized fish and everyone eats them. Some of the best tasting fish in the ocean. I think people over the decades have changed taste buds regarding what fish taste good and what doesn't. I feel the less fishy they taste the more people like it. On islands around the world thats not the case. Where im from we deep fry them with a coating of flour, we just scale and gut thats it

I hope you turn off the sonar transmission when you turn your unit on when it is out of the water. If you do not you can burn up your transducer. It can easily be turned off, different manufacturers have different procedures for doing so.

I love your videos, and I get that we all like eating the fish, I also love it, BUT we need to have respect for the fish, respect for these beautiful animals that give us so much fun and nutrients. I'm not any sort of activist or anything, but it drives me crazy when this kind of stuff happens. Give 1 minute of your patience to release the fish, please. Keep it up with the videos; I love all of them; looking forward to seeing more videos of you fishing with the inflatable boat.

You had my wife and I cracking up😂! You had to net your fish after you scaled it 😂. What you need is something like your cutting board mount that can hold your flame and pan on the outside of boat over water. So you don’t have to cook on the floor of your boat. Nice job on the new Hummingbird! Totally cool! Kansas here. Have a wonderful day ! Keep on catching !🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
