What is the degree of grinding coffee this tool? And what kind are those that do not have high acidity?
@JKTF4762 жыл бұрын
I have the older one, it was little cheaper. It uses both pods and ground coffee. Pods are the way to go if you are going to make several shots. ( saves needing running water and much less mess ) A kuerig EZ scoop like you use on refillable kuerig pods works great for filling and tamping loose coffee. Staresso should make an optional immersion brewer designed to fit the fill tank. If you want to use the sp200 like the mini version, you can easily leave the bottom part behind. I brew the coffee into the cup from the 16ounce Starbucks Stanly thermos I use to carry hot water. They should sell extra glasses as well. I did find a set of glass espresso cups from Amazon that will work. I got those as a back in case I break the original. If I upgrade it will be to the sp300

I have the old model and the Nespresso pods do not work consistently. Many times the pod is not punctured properly, either the holes on the wide foil side don't go thru or the bigger hole on the narrower side. Have you found it to work properly all the time? I really want the pods to work because I want to use it for travel. Once in a while a pod will puncture right and the coffee is great. But it take a lot of tries. I'm trying to figure out what may be wrong with it but I don't see anyone else reporting problems.

I am looking for a simple espresso machine, where the process of making an espresso the water never comes in contact with a piece of plastic or aluminum. Do you have any model that complies with that?
@ChrisS3617 Жыл бұрын
The only one I can think of that isn't a professional lever machine like an all stainless or copper/brass La Pavoni (and those are like 1000 USD on the low end.) is a Flair PRO but it has a pressure gauge that looks to use some plastics. Though the contact would be very minimal. The Flair body is made up of cast aluminum but all the brewing parts are stainless steel. But if you want absolutely zero plastic or aluminum I would recommend a V60 pour over setup. you can get very nice glass and ceramic V60 brewers and brew into a similar material container. Otherwise your looking at a cafe or professional grade machine as far as I am aware.

Hi @explorationcoffee I have the upgraded version of staresso sp 200 bought last november. I realized that the pump has a crooked tip. I see yours has it too in this video but no close up shot to confirm it. The pump tip of SP 200 mini from your other video looks straight. Is this a possible defective product?
