Bought this weapon a week back. Very nice! I am 5' 8" and the best spot for me was near the rear. FYI, I have the same CT Red Dot. I had to have my Allen screws on the other side for the Red Dot appear down range. Cool part! It is easy to reset anywhere along the rail. Bought at Cabela's and they 'Bore Sited' my weapon. Nice! Thanks for the Video and the insights. Be your own man!

I think that looks good. I have mine set up that way with the flip up sights for co-witness. I have a little cheaper red dot on mine. But it works great. Very low pressure and vibration with a .22, so a cheap dot will do.

I'm surprised more people haven't heard of the Ronin, I have one on my AR, and on my CZ Scorpion. Great red dot for the price.

@@timcsc1 my opinion on the Ronin has changed a bit. I got a bad sight and after the third contact with customer support I was disappointed. They were quick and willing to replace parts but none of them fixed the issue (battery cover, unreliable function and then not being able to hold zero). I don't write them off due to my issues but I'm going to stick with the more recognized sights.

I got my M&P 15-22. I put a nice Bushnell TRS-25 on mine. Its very similar to your CT red dot. Upgrading is half the fun. I put the minimalist stock on mine. I wanted to keep it simple and light. I put a 3.5 lb flat faced CMC trigger on it. Just upgraded to a new CMC 2.5 lb flat faced trigger. I shoot mine suppressed and its one of my favorite rifles. I also have the M&P15-22P, first gen. I'll make a video on it soon. Mine doesn't have the brace. The originals have a quick disconnect adapter.

Enjoy that 15-22. Bought my wife and myself each one to get her into shooting with me and she loves it. I put a similar red dot on ours (Veridian Eon) and they're so much fun. I would suggest buying some extra mags cause they empty out way faster than ya can fill them up. Great video and I like how ya handled your troll problem, lol. Keep doing what makes ya happy and you'll find happiness in everything you experience.

Nice pistol. You would be just fine using your iron sights through the red dot. Most ar style sights are made to co-witness with the optic. Be safe and have fun

Another great video. I'm also in the same boat with the ammo situation, you can't really go shooting. What I did was purchased a bore scope, it would help get your red dot or sights aligned pretty closely. Keep coming with the videos, good stuff

I just purchased this platform. I added a red dot and had a fun time sighting it in. I chose it for the same reason you did. For me the strange thing is 22 LR seems to be harder to find than 5.56.

You can use your sights though your red dot with no issues. I have the m&p 15-22 rifle not the pistol but these guns are amazingly fun and cheap to run ammo is cheap and for the most part easy to find at least in the area I live in I just picked up 1000 rounds of hollow point high volisity and 800 rounds of federal I spent $80 for the 800 rounds and for the hollow points $6 a box of 50 rounds I think I spent $125 witch is not bad. I am paying $16 a box of 20 for 223 for my AR 15 so cheaper to shoot 22LR

Great video man. I got the same little pistol back in December when they came out and I love it! I put a holosun red dot on mine and man is it so much fun to shoot. Im using it to teach my 7 year old how to shoot. If you move your rear back up sight all the way to the rear you will have a longer sight radius. No offense just some advice. Keep up the positive videos brother.

500 and something and you will have to check your state laws as far as what they allow. I know there’s several states that don’t require citizens to have license.

My Smith and Wesson mp15 sport 2 came with a crimson trace red dot. Its alright but my vortex has a much longer battery life. The crimson trace has a 48 hour life, so you'll definitely want that iron sight back up. Hoesntly if it works, it works. You got iron sights as back ups, as you should so who cares what people say. Have you had to re zero it? I had to after like 400 rounds. I tightened it good and made sure not to over tighten. I'm seeing people are having the same issue online and was wondering if you noticed it?

@@steventipton7369 Yep, no problem. The Romeo has several brightness settings. Cheaper red dots usually have only 3 with the 3rd being far too bright. The Romeos are often on sale for $110 which is well worth it. Shake awake tech built in too.

Have you taken it to the range yet? I had a some feeding issues with mine. I have read where people recommended changing the extractor. It was only about $12 but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Looking forward to hearing how yours did.

@@jcbimbo1 I replaced the extractor and added a Rise Armament RAVE 140 drop in trigger (just for fun). Shot 5 (25 round) magazines with only one glitch. I got the Volquartsen extractor from Wing Tactical for only $15 and it is WORTH IT! super easy to install.

Shooting the .22 WAS cheaper haha. You can find it online all the time for 500rounds for $100-$120 but forget that man never pay that. I bought my HK416 pistol like 2 weeks ago an they hooked me up with 333rounds for $25 so that helped but good luck brotha finding ammo an make sure to spread the word to people an tell them to 🛑 STOP 🛑 paying these crazy prices.! Yeah I had one here in Tucson,AZ for $509 a couple weeks ago an I was gonna get it but didn't have all the money I should have out it on layaway just so they would hold it for the weekend for me but the guy said it had been there a little bit so I left an came back the next night an it was GONE I was so sad but the had the HK416 pistol in .22LR still an it was $459 so I put that one on layaway an came back the next day to pay the rest an pick it up. I wouldn’t rely on this for home defense look at my other video for my freedom ordinance 9mm is a more reliable round. Also I would recommend a gun safe or good schooling with the kids on gun safety like I did and they’ll respect guns. At least mines do they all know how to shoot and handle a gun. Kill the curiosity and that right there is enough.
