Hi, thank you for the video, I've replaced HDD with the new Kingston SSD very easily. Only, I have problem with installing Windows 10 on the SSD as it does not recognize it. Found out that probably the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers are missing so that Windows recognize SSD. But I cannot find Intel RST for HP 6730b and Win10 32 bit. Anyone can help?

Is it possible for this model to have a different design? I was supposed to buy one but it doesn't have a built in cam nor the fingerprint reader on the trackpad but it says it's hp compaq 6730b!

Yes some are slightly different models or the differences may be country specific.

Nice video. You might however consider tightening your ESD wrist strap. As loose as in this video, it looses contact with skin and it's good for fashion only.

That first slot you moved to the side has nothing to do with battery access.

I have 3 of these laptops & none of them have the little graphics on the screen when you use the volume slider above the keyboard. Not really important, just would like it to work.

Have you reloaded the OS on these machines or are they all running as they came out of the box?

dpcomputing They are running new Win7 Pro 32. Originally they were Vista & hard drives were wiped. I installed W7 Pro 32 with updates. Probably missing a driver.

Bob Smith yes it looks like you are missing one of the drivers. I suggest you check out the drivers website.

dpcomputing Was able to download a driver and 2 of the 3 laptops do work on the Quick Launch keys. The lone holdout refuses to cooperate. Identical drivers, bios as the other 2. As they say....2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Hello. I have this laptop, i loved it. Now inside 4 GB (2x2GB) and I'm going to upgrade it. I have a question: could i change pair of it or only one, for exp. single bank to 4 GB (total 6GB) ?

It is best to change them in pairs.

Probably RAM, but he failed on that one as the RAM is accessed from under the keyboard.

Raidenway how do u check cpu temp

If the temp is getting up to 100 degrees then the fan will be going full speed trying to cool it down. I would give the fan a clean and see if that helps.

Raidenway You may have to remove the heatsink and fan and put in new thermal past and reseat it all.

Its a laptop so you can;t replace the graphics. What type of graphics did you buy?

Its a laptop you can't just buy a video card and expect it to fit. The video cards are for desktop / tower computers with the appropriate PCI / PCIe slots.
