Exactly!!! These videos might be entertainment but transferring a power train from a wrecked 2000-2006 truck into this one would have been a way better build to consider. This is just an unlimited shopping spree sponsored by everyone that supplied the parts. Pretty ridiculous. They suck you into starting it thinking it'll be $10grand and then you've spent $25 and don't know why.
@ChrisPollard4 жыл бұрын
I changed my fuel pump last fall by cutting a whole in the bed. After 22 years of Canadian winters, meaning salt, the only way that bed is coming off is with a cutting torch. It's a bit ghetto, but it did the job. Would have been lovely to be able to work on it inside a shop though, instead of the parking lot at work, under a maple tree that kept dropping leaves on me all afternoon. lol
@hawkdsl4 жыл бұрын
To anyone with the GMT 400's.. You don't have to take the bed off to access the top of the tank. Just remove the tank side bed bolts. Loosen the other side (pax) bed bolts about halfway out. Use a 2X4 in the tank side rear wheel well, and jack it up enough to get to it. If you have a motorcycle lift, you can drop the tank out without much fuss at all. Just dont forget to remove the filler neck bolts to the bed, and ground from the frame.

0:58. The fuel pressure regulator is integrated into the throttle body injection unit. It's not like the pumps can't build more than 12psi of pressure. The stock fuel pumps themselves can handle more pressure, at reduced volume. You guys should know that.

They had to have had the bed off to do the bodywork, WHY would they put it back on to paint it? GAAAAHHH! Yall should have put a blanket or something over the back of the cab. You could have said it was to protect the cab so the bed don't scratch it when lifting it off. It would have hidden that mess and the real techs wouldn't wouldn't be able to notice it. It must have been hammered in the rear end to damage both cab corners like that. Your putting $20k worth of driveline in it, another 200USD would Put some color there. SMH

Please tell me you replace the receiver /dryer & flushed the lines with solvent after pressure washing that engine bay with the hose end open. I know there isn't alot of fine details showed here. After flushing, oil needs to be added for the A/C system to work properly. Most new/rebuilt compressors require draining of shipping oil and refilled with the correct oil per system design.
