Do you have to upgrade the gears as well as the hot end? I only purchased the hot end so far. I'm brand new to this my printer hasn't arrived yet so lots to learn.

You don't have to upgrade the gears to print CF, I just did so while I was in there. Hardened nozzle is the only requirement. Thanks for watching

Great vid. Question . . . For carbon fiber printing, do I need to change the entire extruder unit ($44.99) or just the gear assembly ($19.99)? I already upgraded the hotend and nozzle to hardened steel, so I'm good there. Thanks!

You don't have to change the entire extruder unit, that would just make it easier to install (similar to how you can get the nozzle only or the entire hotend assembly). Thanks for watching!

Doesnt come with hardened gears or extruder, it could work but will wear out faster
