Literally changes your off road riding. If you can, take a pump with you and run 12-15psi on trails, then back to 22psi for the road. See my video on a trail riding pump idea kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2e1mHpod6udfpY

put the mitchelins on they will grip on tar wet tar they all move but thats off road tyres. if you listen to a lot of reviewers they will tell you any thing. im running anakee wilds on dry tar ive been scraping the pegs on a triumph 800xcx and every reviewer said they were loud on the road and they are not . ive got a wr 250f and there good on that off road and on. they will all go sidways on the wet tar if you ride fast thats part of the fun.

Good video. Those croshbars are a bit of concern how they come underneath your skid plate like that. Your skid plate should be the last thing touching the rocks and logs free of that bar in the way. Bit of a design flaw I think. Cool little bike. I have a Honda AT 1000. Fun times
@0xsergy
@0xsergy 5 жыл бұрын
it looks like the bar is meant for use with no skid plate hence why it's so low, not a bad idea just loses him ground clearance and gives the rocks/sticks a place to catch on.

Hi, what did the sprocket change do the what is a comfortable speed on the highway? And how tall are you? I am guessing at 190cm I will need some barrisers too 🙂 Thanks for the vid 🤗
@FriendlyEllis
@FriendlyEllis 3 жыл бұрын
Hello buddy. Noticeable more "pull" in the dirt uphill. Reduced comfortable cruise by maybe 10mph. I sacrificed top end for pzazz on trails. 60mph is still fine. Also approx 190cm. Great bike.

Hi, trying to decide between the rally and the l, what made you go with this one? Although I have to say it looks great!
@FriendlyEllis
@FriendlyEllis 4 жыл бұрын
Hi William. It was an easy decision for me as the group I trail ride with live 50 miles away from me so I went for the Rally because of its road presence. Weather in the UK is unpredictable and that screen has been a God send some days. I feel the L is a dual sport trail bike, the Rally is a dual sport distance trail bike. Hope this makes sense .

nothing to the front fork? That single spring system was just too soft for me. I added another even higher spring rate spring in my other fork tube. Feels much safer to me off road,.

Could you tell me what effect the 13/42 sprocket conversion does to the top speed or rpm's at a 60mPh cruise if possible please?
@FriendlyEllis
@FriendlyEllis 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bruce. Your revs are increased by 13% for any given speed, so your speedo will read 13% too high. So at 60mph would show 68mph on the Speedo. You can install a SpeedoDRD to correct this.

nice vid you say you burnt your clutch out! how many miles has you bike done?
@FriendlyEllis
@FriendlyEllis 3 жыл бұрын
I burnt the stock clutch plates after about 600 miles 😁 Slipping the clutch trying to ride in proper mud in stock tyres. Put Enduro tyres and an EBC DRC277 clutch plate kit in and its been ace since.

@@ridingwithmrP I was in real wet mud uphill going nowhere. A total newb. The guys I was with said to keep slipping the clutch to try and prevent wheel spin. I guess the clutch ended up slipping even more than the wheels. Once I replaced it it was solid from that moment on.

@@FriendlyEllis Thank you! your video has been great thank you! I have done a few of the same mods. I noticed you haven't change the exhaust or added an EJK i have heard mixed reviews? With the gear ratio did it alter the top speed of the bike at all? I use mine for commuting and trail riding so i dont really want to loose my top end. Thanks again for the great video. My best buy has to be those folding mirrors!!!
@FriendlyEllis
@FriendlyEllis 5 жыл бұрын
@@ginkgotreesurgerystevenmar9003 Hello mate. Yes changing the sprockets probably took 10-15mph off the top end but provides much better torque off road. I ride knobblies as you can see so 60mph is quick enough tbh. I've not tried EJK or FMF, simply because it's a huge amount of money for what appears to be very little gain. I've not been in a situation yet where the 25hp has not been enough. If I get to that point I'll just buy a KTM 300 but to be honest I'm in it for the scenery more than the Enduro challenge 😀
