I wouldn’t run a T to both bags in the rear. They need their own feed line. With a T, when you turn, the one bag will “squish” and push the air into the other side, inflating the opposing bag. Also if you’re planning on taking this off road, get cradles so the bags aren’t attached at both ends and you can get full articulation off-road. Otherwise the bags will tear. Speaking from experience- both from having some in many personal trucks as well as being a service manager, selling and installing weight support bags for years 👍 I promise it’s worth the extra little bit of effort!

The best way to run airbags on high CG campers is to keep the bags separate. Run dedicated lines to each bag. This helps reduce body roll. When they are Tee’d together, the air will move from bag to bag.

Amazon sells a camera that goes over your rear view mirror. And it changes angle. I installed one on my ex Mini Countryman. Is pretty good and since it goes over the rear view mirror is one less thing to clutter the truck interior.

Used to be a Gypsy around here who had a long wheelbase transit flatbed van and basically plonked in the bed an old caravan to make a camper lol. It looked stupid but it worked. If you search for "transit flatbed caravan" your find it its the one with the brown wooden fence around the edge. Perfect test ground braving the storm imo go for it.

Instead of running a separate screen for the Camera look into upgrading the Head unit in the truck, this way the interior will be modernized a bit and the camera functions can be integrated into the Head Unit.

I don't remember the original plan (cutting it down sounds familiar), but you might consider looking in to RV specific mattresses. They have sizes that are slightly smaller, like an RV Short Queen being 60x75 instead of 60x80 (not that it helps given you already have the mattress)
