Upgrading our Off Grid Solar Systems! Adding EG4 to our Bluetti’s??
In this video I will do my best to explain why we decided to add an EG4 system to our current Bluetti off grid Solar systems and what is the advantage to a system like an EG4 or perhaps a SolArc solar system over a Bluetti, EcoFlow or Jackery type Solar generator.

It can get loud at times but we don’t really mind…..we know then it’s working and doing it’s job! But for those that don’t like loud fan noises they should be aware of the potential noise for sure!

If you really wanted to upgrade, you should have switched from low surge capacity, short lived high frequency inverter technology to heavier duty, high peak power power, low frequency, transformer based inverter tech.

Pros and cons between high frequency inverters and low frequency ones! High frequency inverters tend to be physically lighter (so easier to lift and mount in places) while low frequency ones are much more physically heavy (so harder to lift and mount on walls and such) from my understanding! Plus low frequency are for running and starting typically big loads like electric motors/pumps etc which I don’t have large heavy loads that I need to run. Thank you for your comment!

Why would weight be an issue? low frequency inverters last 10 to 15 years in daily use so you would only have to lift and install it only once during that period of time. High frequency inverters on the other hand, have proven, much shorter life expectancies of only 3 to 5 years, so you would have to lift and reinstall these lightweight, low surge inverters 3 to 4 times during the same period of time. And if you live off grid, then you do have these large, high surge loads in your home. Loads such as microwaves, refrigerator/freezers. AC units washer/dryers and power tools all require high surge currents just to get them started. These high surge currents can damage high frequency inverters like the one's found in Bluetti and EG4 high frequency inverters.@@PrecisionGroupYT
