Brand new FT-891 owner here, while waiting for it to be shipped, I looked for Ft-891 videos here on KZbin and found yours. Even thought it's 5 years old, it was helpful in getting an idea what the FT-891 is about. It also verified that the ATAS-120a indeed works with the 891. In all of the ATAS -120a product descriptions on the online e-tailers (HRO, DX Engineering, Gigaparts, etc.), they did not mention the 891 being supported. I also have the IC-7300 at my QTH, still trying to learn my way around it. I have to say congrats on that air mobile you made with the Air Canada 767... that would have made my day big time too!! 73 de KN6VMK

Can I use these with BLUETTI ac180?

If does say you can use the B230 with the AC180? I can’t find any info on their site as to which cable you would need, any ideas? I’m guessing it would charge through the input plug on the front of the AC180?

Why these radios don’t have factory 100w base units is beyond me. It can’t be that hard to give us something that these units can easily click into to run 100w. Over 1k for a 10w qrp radio 🤨

A beer can works great as a solar panel alignment tool. And you can pick one up at any corner store. Set it on the panel and when you have no shadow from the can you are set at the perfect angle.🍺

Basically not much different than the PT40 used as a headlamp. I find the PT40 to be an outstanding/versatile light, but not much else from Acebeam would cut it for me.

This is a lot of well thought out information. It is a possibly complicated subject well reasoned out and easy to understand. All the different insights make it more personable.

I have Icom, Yaesu, and kenwood. I prefer Icom as the menus are uniform across the different platforms. Very easy to use, especially in the dark.

According to some sources Yaesu will have Bluetooth and wifi. The PL-connector on the back of the tuner (left) is where the antenna goes. On the right the bnc is the rf in from the radio (jumper cable) and also the cable for tuner operation (mini-din). 73 ON4VP

What happens when you have the B230 paired with the AC200P related to charging with or without the fast charger?

The deal maker or breaker is if Icom used better ADC IC's than the 7610. It's been 9 years of improvements in available IC's...the FPGA too. IF they went to 18 bit or above ACD IC's and a much faster FPGA, then performance will rival the top dawgs. The rest of the ergonomics and user interface is totally better than the competition. The FT-101D series may beat ultimate selectivity numbers still, but the rest of their radio is a confusing nightmare to operate. SO many engineering mistakes. Sold my 7610... let's see what happens!

great video but I bought D050s + 12v battery for my ac200p. Price for original battery is huge and really ac200p cannot charge external battery and really just use it to recharge internal battery(and mix power to ac ouuttput if there is AC load).
