When I swapped my mirror to add the forward looking camera for my auto high beams, I accidentally pressed the 911 button. I told the dispatcher it was an accident. They must not believed me as they dispatched fire and police to my house! LOL Good thing the Officer who arrived first saw me working and I said I told them It was an accident that I swapped my mirror out and he laughed and cancelled the fire trucks! You would hear all of the sirens coming my way! He and I just laughed! So be careful in swapping your mirror and not press the 911 button as you put it on! 🤣

Good job. I started upgrading my trucks a decade ago using recycled parts. Video quality is very nice. Could have benefitted by a little more info up front like year and trim level so viewer can tell if it applies to their situation

Cool video, I’m looking to replace that same steering wheel switch on my Charger. Dealer quoted me about $450 but seeing how easy this seems I’m just going to buy it and do it myself. Thanks for the video

Great job, just bought a leather steering wheel from a wrecked vehicle. I have some nerve damage in my elbow from my younger year and baseball, so the rubber caused some pain. I was wondering if the volume and track buttons would work without running wires, looks like I have less to worry about.

You really should disconnect the battery when doing anything with the airbag, or anything electrical really.

I personally don't need the steering wheel controls. Did the 8" conversion allow your cell phone to connect by bluetooth? Could you not use the physical phone to make/answer calls and then communicate over the bluetooth? Also did all the stereo functions work with the 8"? I have access to a parts truck and will remove the stereo, AC module and resistor, possibly the harness, is there anything else to remove from the truck? Backup cam, steering wheel? LOL.. appreciate and thanks
