Upgrading Singapore's Signalling System

Singapore is upgrading its 30 year-old signalling system for the North-South and East-West Lines (NSEWL), as part of on-going efforts to rejuvenate our ageing rail network to serve commuters better.
The upgrade from the current Fixed Block System to the new Communications-Based Train Control System will provide commuters with shorter waiting times during peak hours, increase train capacity by 20%, and provide a more pleasant train journey.

This moving block system is called CBTC (Communication Based Train Controlled) System as this is being used in the NEL, CCL, The Tuas New Extension and the New DTL line... as for the NSL and EWL is a running revenue during the day and the system unable to be tested fully the system where the software is not stable yet unlike the other MRT Line.

Of all metro lines in the world, u choose to learn/copy from London/Taipei, why not from the best and most envied metro system in the world, Hong Kong’s MTR. Older, longer and has a higher ridership than Singapore’s MRT and just refuses to ever breakdown.

Shawn Peh does MTR already implements CBTC? SMRT took example of MRT which has used CBTC, not the best.

Shawn Peh yeah i know, but the highlight is CBTC. SMRT mention taipei and london for their CBTC implementation, not for their best system. Not even single mention demotes MTR as bad system
