I hope you run the doors central locking wires through the oem spot where the flattened 25mm area is on the lower A pillar and used oem door to pillar rubbers and not just a 12mm drill bit through the door and pillar squishing the cables and plastic corri conduit like super cheap installer would do. I did this in one of my early 79s. You don't have to remove the door. Just all the swarf from the hole saw

Lucky person, if You can get OEM door to pillar rubbers, I tried to get them, for my 79, were only available with OEM central locking harness!!, after all that, was recently told harness/ rubber grommet, NA. anywhere. only after market
