Genuinely surprised with it! Really opened up in the 40s but that stock head unit may have a filter that affects the lows as well. Would be fun to test!

It was awesome Remy let me hear this at the Sundown show. Sounds amazing for just 2 10's, it will impress you. Everyone was so nice at the show, they were practically begging you to sit and listen to their system. I'm 51 and have been to drag racing events, motorcycles races and shows , gun shows , and the list goes on and on. But the bassheads community is on another level. It's like one big family. This was my first show I've been in nearly 30 years , got to meet a lot of KZbinrs and I am blown away on how everyone was so nice. yeah I'm a Basshead for life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Started off with a pair of Crunch 10" subs as my first subs in the early 90's, then went to four 12"s. Went down to two 12"s. Then back up to a couple of different four 12" systems. Now I'm working on two 18's.

Anyone else remember when tensile leads went directly to the cone. They had to be short enough not to touch anything but long enough to allow the woofer to move and woofers with a lot of excursion would separate from the leads. PITA!!! This has to be one of the largest improvements in subwoofer technology.

I often throw new subs on the test bench and run 18Hz for a number of hours at only a few watts... Gets them moving pretty well and can definitely help break in a new speaker.

Yeah, I have my Yellowtop DH6 Optima battery in a boat made plastic case in the back of my wagon where it is run to my battery isolator. To keep it from sliding around, I added 2 to 3 strips of the barbed velcro under it. Holds it solid in place. Even jacked on the breaks for a deer, didn't move one bit.

Facing the speaker upwards is a bad idea. In this way you will lose 3dB in sound pressure! In a sedan the speaker must always be directed directly to the drivers compartment for best performance. And then it is best to squeeze a thick foam snake between the car and the subwoofer to isolate the trunk from the passenger compartment.

He prefers this positioning for being able to throw stuff in there without hitting the subs. He drives the car everyday so didn't want to sacrifice that valuable space in front of the box in the trunk.

Dropping into the 12s is fine and expected for standard charging systems. The only reason to be worried about dropping below 14 is if the alt and batteries charge above 16 volts
