Upgrading to Led Headlight | Interceptor 650 BS6 | Detailed

I have been riding motorcycle for a long time, one thing I was always concerned was the visibility during night ride.
Previously on my Bajaj Pulsar 220F I had used the Night Eye Led but was not satisfied at high speed cruising. As the led lights used to fade out.
I didn’t wanted to make the same mistake with my Interceptor this time, so decided to go for the performance leds which will be stable at high speed cruising.

You can change the headlamp, many have done that ! Bcz existing mein agar led lagaoge toh waste hai, pura spread milega ! Aux lights are like choice, if you like it you can go for it. Depends on your usage and night run on highways and ghats. I had only tried it once but never felt like using it despite I was cruising at 90-100-110 kmph during night.

If your classic 350 has a reflector on the headlight glass then any good light can’t give a good result as it’s focused towards spread. Would suggest to go for aux light !!!

@@kushagrayadav1659 night eye lights are not that stable on high speeds it fades out. Phlps also provides white halogen lights but they are not that powerful they are just same like stock. Leds are powerful and their luminance are quite good. Opting for this led is, it’s stability at high speeds.

Cutting out the rubber is the big mistake everyone is doing…..will damage the whole chamber during rain. Better use additional mount.

It depends on which led brand you are using. Cheap led doesn’t comes with proper mounts which attracts dust into the reflective unit and moisture too. In this the H4 mounts are well placed and seals the area completely. This is the 2nd monsoon for my motorcycle with this lights, so far no issues. Cheers 👍🏾

put some silicon paste while installing the led bulb plate and the bulbs usually come with an o-ring themselves to lock into the plate. I don't have a single speck of dust or moisture on my bike since 5 years without the rubber cap with long rides and in rain. dont use glue because you may need to take it off in future. I have similarly sealed a cheap pair of fog lights i got from aliexpress 5 years back and they are still running.

@@KarthikAdvento i even opened my fog lights up and applied a few layers of clear nail polish, even if there is a little moisture it wont short your lights out. Good luck.

Many of the motorcycles comes with the led unit so it’s totally fine. And it’s not blueish white, it’s a bit warm white and it doesn’t penetrates oncoming rider or drivers eyes unless you are on high beam

Yes. As per rto law you cannot use bulb or led more than the provided output watt. Int650 has halogen bulb of 55/60W output and the led bulb which I have installed is 45W. Anyways I am already using it, no issue as such. And also it’s warm white not bluesh white like HIDs. 👍🏾

Night Eye is good for specific speed limit. On high speed highway cruising the light will fade off….already I had used it on my previous vehicle P220. U9 is a performance led which gives a good response on high speed.
