Upgrading Your Brakes. Hydroboost vs Vacuum Boost brakes

One of the best possible upgrades you can make on an old Jeep is adding power brakes. Let's talk about the different options out there to make your upgrade. After using both vacuum boost and hydroboost brakes I'll discuss the pros and cons of both.

lol my 73 commando with 40's has been a real problem for me. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time. Almost have all of my parts for it.

You won’t regret it. I run 35s but it locks them up no problem.

Did you ever think of. Staying with vacuum boost? But adding in a vacuum pump?? Like on a diesel or drag race / street racing car?? Where the diesel has a pump, like the one in my cj7 diesel.. but on gas cars where at low idle they don’t make much vacuum, or enough for the brake booster. A pump would…

No I didn’t, I just went straight to hydroboost. But that might be a good option also. Also liked and subscribed to your channel.

I’m waiting on pistons for the cj7 super snail,,,, it’s a snail of a project. And getting frustrating. But hopefully once the engine is back together……..
