Hey @ 1st class math- can u please make a video of rules, about nearest decimal place nearest sf and how to find the upper bound nearest with them

I was confused about the maximum area, because your are unable to use 25cm since that inequality doesn't have a line through it?

The practice questions on your website why is it that with money bounds u use lets say 8.49 instead of 8.5 and 1.64 instead of 1.65 for maximum total amount of money?
@1stClassMaths3 ай бұрын
Hi. With money we cannot actually have an amount of money that falls between £8.49 and £8.50 so in this question the maximum would be £8.49 exactly. I realised that I hadn't explain this sort of thing well in the video and I may also revise some of the questions on it too. For example in Q3 in reality the maximum number of fans is 32499 because they are always integer values. Basically I didn't do a good enough job on this one!
@samuellacobbinah3 ай бұрын
The question was £8 and was 7.50
@1stClassMaths3 ай бұрын
Hi yes I know the one you mean. It’s just because money cannot take a value between 8.49 and 8.50 like 8.495 etc isn’t an actual value of money.
@samuellacobbinah3 ай бұрын
@1stClassMaths Ohkay that makes sense. Thank you very much for the explanation.

Your videos are so helpful. I have a question, why did you multiply 25 with 8.5 for the maximum possibility whereas we know that length's upper bound is less than 24 and widths upper bound is less than 8.5? Please help!
@1stClassMaths6 ай бұрын
The upper bound is 8.5. An upper bound necessarily a number we can achieve it is just the boundary. We can have any number up to 8.5 so we consider 8.5 the upper bound.
