Thanks heaps for that. I'm most grateful for the detail you give of what errors to be mindful of & the fine tuning of the exercises to the individual. 👌

Hi, how do you breathe as you increase your pace? I get out of breath every time. I'm not sure whether I'm lack of training or I'm not breathing properly for a faster pace. Do help🙂
@1674shj7 жыл бұрын
Gotheena89 hello, I would suggest to train your breaths as deep inhale from Ur nose & complete exhale from Ur mouth that works for me very well. Try this & you will never loose your breath while running
@Archangeldawn7 жыл бұрын
you may also need to increase your cardiovascular fitness by working out the maximum amount of oxygen you can take in (V02 MAX). This can be accomplished by increasing your mileage by setting one day of the week as your long run. Then another day do interval training by going shorter distance but exerting yourself (higher intensity). In increasing mileage, it's not about going faster, but just racking up the miles, so pace yourself at a pace that you can comfortably breathe.

How much mobility and flexibility is needed to be a better runner? Is there such a thing as too much mobility and flexibility compromising running performance? Thanks
@TheRunExperience4 жыл бұрын
Mobility and flexibility are made MUCH more useful if you also have strength in those ranges of motion. In other words, if you have lengthy, loose hamstrings for days but they can't function to support your toughest days of running or weightlifting, that range isn't doing you any good. Mobility and flexibility are really great things to have because they help keep your tissues, muscles and tendons healthy, giving you less room to build poor movement/sitting/standing habits. But again, strength to support that range is key!

I've started this type of push up and also trying out the workout. And I felt sore on my deltoids (I hope I get the anatomy right) during runs. Is this expected?
@TheRunExperience7 жыл бұрын
Pretty normal if you haven't worked in that position. Make sure you're mobilizing the upper body between workouts (a lacrosse ball works well) and if it's still not gone in a few weeks, we can help you out further!

Does having big arms/biceps help in running ?
@useyourseatbelt61043 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't think big biceps help for long distance, for thing like sprinting they do help
@qambarbokhari86573 жыл бұрын
@@useyourseatbelt6104On the contrary l have read somewhere that big biceps do help in long distance running
@useyourseatbelt61043 жыл бұрын
@@qambarbokhari8657 I would say that medium sized biceps help but if they are too big they would at some point in a long run be extra weight

How many days to run in a week for 21k?
@TheRunExperience6 жыл бұрын
Depending on what the rest of your training looks like, you can run 3-4 days per week with a different focus each run. Speed drills, tempo runs, hill repeats, a long run, etc.
