I went here when I was very young when my grandparents lived in Morrisburg, early 70s, and I still remember how much I enjoyed it. Being a printer by trade I enjoyed seeing the print shop in your video, even I didn't know paper was once made from old clothes. In case anyone is interested what the woman is doing at the beginning is called type setting and yes, it does take a long time, in fact it was still used occasionally in modern times in older letterpress machines but I haven't seen it since the 1980s when they switched to plates which are much easier and quicker to use. P.S. if the type wasn't locked in place properly it could all fall out and what a crash.

I enjoyed the field trip. Sometimes I feel I would like to have lived and farmed in those days! Klaus

Glad you enjoyed it! I agree there are things that seems simplistic and beautiful, yet I'm sure was a lot of hard work. I definitely agree, I think I would really enjoy somethings about that time period.
