Hey Delos, thanks again for the great video, I look forward to seeing them. I know you have your trying days and you do what you have to so you can get through it. I wanted to let you know that I’ve watched you since the beginning. I’m a hospital Volunteer Chaplain in California, I bring my iPad everyday to work with me. Over the last year I’ve seen many patients that have life threatening illness, if I find out that the boat or better yet sail I let them use my iPad for a few hours and watch your videos. You guys are one of 4 boaters I follow and because of your content and limited use of profanity your the first one I show. Remember how ever hard it gets for you that somewhere in a California hospital people who are very ill are enjoying you. Keep up the good work, someday when I have a few extra bucks I’m going to order a Delos T-shirt and rock the look. Thanks again.

@bru8646 жыл бұрын
I guess you could say that, I do get paid, a little. I’m in the hospital 7 hours a day, 4 are paid and 3 are volunteer. In a little over 4 years I have 4500 volunteer hours. So I guess it can go either way, if I see a patient during my paid tome yea I get paid hahaha 😂. I did a career change at 50, I’m an intern going back to school to become a real board certified Chaplain. Thanks to all for the thumbs up and comments! I have a bucket list, in the top 5 it says “sail from California to Hawaii” so anyone with a sailboat let me know and I’ll crew. God Bless

Delos has totally changed my life. It shows me that people can be honest and real. If the whole world saw Delos, it would be a better place. It is due to leadership aka Brian. ALL the others are also awesome leaders in their own right, but Brian is the sine qua non.

One of the best vid. Especially when you show and talk about things that go wrong, odd events and so. Thanks a lot. Furthermore, I do think that Kazza IS the Lady of Delos. We want to see more of her, hear more of her. When she is soooo gentle and polite and allow other to take more space, and when she stays very gently in the background...it is because she is of a very good nature...it shows. So, please, more space for the Lady of Delos! Thanks a lot.

Another great show...thanks guys and gals !

Just outdid yourselves again! So much fun to watch the "nuts and bolts" part of sailing life. Looks like three hands can handle the boat just fine. Anchors dragging and Maggie on the loose, could happen to anybody, but you got away with it this time. I'm sure you'll miss Blue and Brady, but absence makes the heart grow fonder and they needed a break as we all do once in a while. Be safe in Rio. Lock everything down that's pilferable. Take good care of Lisa, seems like she needs some love or cherishing or something. Happy exploring and stay on at least yellow alert.

Wow! I read that Ice Bru comment. Showing your videos to people suffering, how bout that? Your energy heals folks. Feel on that for a moment. I was going to ask a silly question and was sidetracked by Ice Bru there. Thank you so much. I liked how Brady thought he wished there was a way to put smells in the video. Smells tell a alot. I'm sleeping on a sailboat over this winter in Washington to migrate closer to the ocean my friends. The sea calls to me for sure. i work as a montessori teacher, post office worker delivering amazon, caregiver for my mom and helping to pass an initiative in washington, (1631), which puts a fee on buring carbon. Washington could be the first state in the US to take a definitive turn toward renewable energy. Ah well... I ramble. I'm excited to see how things progress with Brian and Kazza gettting married. Match made in heave for sure. I love you guys and am so proud of your bravery, courage, kindness, working together (like during the squall). Much love and peace to you! Keep rockin it! Love, Dougie

Wow, this is really strange to watch. We had the SAME thing happen to our dinghy on our last sail to the island. She got away from the cleat we had her tied to in the side of the boat. When we came out the next morning we did not see her anywhere. We were devastated! Then we noticed a dinghy tied to a mooring ball a few hundred feet away and found that someone had caught our dinghy floating away from our boat and tied her to a mooring ball! What wonderful sailors there are out there!

I'm with you Brian. If you don't want to help someone at 10:40, then close at 10:30, not 11. I feel the same way about stores and restaurants. There's a lovely place in Burlingame, CA, called Stacks. It's amazing how you can upload 30 minutes of such high quality content EVERY week. The amount of work behind it is massive and I see you are having a lot of fun and experiment as well when you edit as in 8:43 for example. You already know we LOVE your vids but I also want to tell you that we really appreciate the little personal talks to the camera like Alex had in the beginning. Last but not least, I was SOOO nervous that you almost lost Maggie. How lucky that you were reunited and that some nice people had dropped the anchor for you. Much love, Steffi
@svdelos6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much guys, really appreciate that coming from fellow sailing vloggers :) It is a huge amount of work to edit a 30 min video, sometimes daunting at the beginning of starting to look through footage, but then we sort of get lost in the editing and it is mostly a real joy to work on. If it ever becomes too much I think we will just do less videos, as the alternative of spending less time and passion on each one really isn't appealing to us. Fair winds and hope your summer in Sweden is going well. Brian

The best way to chase a leak in the engine room? Throughly clean an dry the area where the leak is occurring. After completely dry, apply a liberal dusting of baby powder coating the area affected. Once the given leak reoccurs... It will leave a wet trail through the applied baby powder directing you directly to the source of the leak! Neat trick!

Brian is Chief of your Tribe, He looks like the respected top of a Totem pole!.. so distinguished and well mannered, the rest of the Crew are His Disciples, we who watch become personally involved with all of you, The Internet is truly the "golden information gateway" the super Highway 'as Clinton used to refer to it' it brings the living Dreams of Others directly to us in HD and tons of Heart and Soul encoded in the soundtrack... I predict you will never live on Land for any significant time again, it would stifle your freedom to live a REAL life... I send every Blessing to Y'all and pray for you before I go to Sleep: This is the perfect Escape to enable another's fantasies, Thanks again, Good wishes and safe Voyages to all Xxx + '-' KEEP BRIAN HAPPY, also well FED; and you will never run aground !!!
