Hey Jeff ! Long time subscriber . Long time time driver and owner operator. Since 1990 anyhow you can use your Jake when its slick out . If you have a 3 stage jack .set it on 1 or 2 depending on your weight . It keeps your trailer straight and your brakes wont lock up on you . I'm sure someone knows alot more then I do .you know some of those also I'm sure lol. Stay cool in your stool and the shiny side up . Marry christmas

They did a really good job with New Mexico. I used to haul loads in that area. Very familiar with Roswell, Artesia ect... They nailed it. Only noticed a few things off or missing... One thing I noticed in Vaughn, they did a great job replicating that little town, but in the game that scale is open, and I've never EVER seen it open. I've gone through there at all times of day and night and it's ALWAYS closed. They don't use it at all anymore. Seems like they may have closed the local DOT office or something. But, it does look exactly like that, with the little cafe next door and the truck stop across the street. I've stayed the night at that truck stop. And Roswell looks fairly accurate. You do have to stop at every damn light if you go through town, just like in the game. But, you're supposed to take the truck route loop around... Which is a pain of a loop bc there's stop signs and lights and the speed limit is only 55... It takes longer to take the loop than it does to go through downtown. And Artesia they got perfect. The gas stations are in the correct locations, and with the correct layout, and the IHOP is there, too. I actually broke the railroad crossing arm there once. The train passed by, the arm went up, I started going, and then the arm came back down on my roof and my trailer broke it off. Good times 😂 Used to deliver to Halliburton in Artesia, actually. They have a LaQuinta with truck parking, and there's a little grocery store next door that has pretty decent burgers at a great price. There's also parking at the LaQuinta in Roswell, and there's a BK across the lot. That was my little hidey hole in Roswell, while everyone else was fighting over the very limited parking at the only truck stop. Sometimes id get a room, but a lot of times I just stayed in the lot and nobody ever said anything... And there's a walgreens there that's 24/7 so you have access to the bathroom, too. It's a pretty good spot.

I used to live in Raton NM. That weigh station is at the top of a 12000 foot pass between Colorado and NewMexico its actually a 19 mile drive up and over from Starkville/Trinidad exit to Raton.

My gps, British Skye does not talk with ignition off. She does get confused when engine is running. Btw, I turned my braking up to 5.0 in the profile folder. I use it real high with snow and then turn it back down after. I use my Jake brake and my trailer brake, they are mapped to my shifter paddles on my T500. I have trailer brake on left side so I can hold brake and wheel and shift. It allows me to "slip" the clutch without rolling backwards and stalling my engine.
