That view of his truck at 11AM is the exception, not the rule. Don't be misled. UPS all around me are routinely out til 7-8PM and later. Even dispatching at 830/9AM running out with 200-250 stops a day with a massive chunk of rural to boot. It's brutal.

I did a rural route for FedEx ground in Nebraska in 2020. It's nice to see others doing the dusty grind. I knew the UPS guy too. We were cool, but he was definitely burned out and had a limp. This is a great video, I'm currently an Amazon driver and considering i'll probably never be able to retire driving for Amazon I've been looking into ups full time driving and found out they make really good pay and have great benefits. After doing much reading on Google without actually watching any videos about driving for UPS, I was at the very least intimidated lol. This video is reassuring that it's not too much different than driving for Amazon minus different procedures and rules that you guys have to go through, other than that though I'm excited to make the transition here in about a year-and-a-half. Hopefully I don't have to start off in the warehouse, I've been reading about that as well, would much rather start up as a part-time driver, but whatever I have to get through in the beginning to become a full-time driver I figure it's worth it. Thanks again for the great video and keep up the content, love to see more

Do you pack your own trucks? I'm curious how they know how to pack the truck so you can find the packages quickly one you get to the address, and how they pack things in there according to your route so you're not jumping back from one side of town to the other for each delivery and keeping it streamlined.

I’m an Amazon driver (Carle Place NY, Long Island). I usually get between 300 and 350 packages a day (sometimes close to 400) because I’m so good at the job. My routes are always very tight with the stops being very close together. Long Island is home to eight million people so I’m never delivering in rural areas. I usually get to my route at noon and I deliver until about 7:00 o’clock. If I have a lighter day I can finish earlier than that. I usually get between 240 and 280 different locations on a route. I usually have a very heavy workload. Long Island is also very congested so I’m usually in terrible traffic, even on Sundays. I started in November 2023 after I lost my previous job as a coach cleaner for Metro North Railroad. I found something I’m very good at and I have no plans on leaving anytime soon.

I’m surprised you don’t get fired ! In my center if they see that we have videos of inside the truck with peoples personal info That’s it for a driver. Good luck!

Awesome video and good vibes. Fellow UPS driver here also! Could you do a video on the Diad6? My centre switched to it a couple months ago and I’ve been on a sick leave…..back next week and would be interested to see how to use it.

I'm assuming that handheld has the GPS that you follow as a part of it, considering drivers can't use personal devices.

How do you navigate and know where the stops are. At FedEx we use ground cloud which shows them all on a map which is handy

You don't go back to businesses at the end of the day to pick up packages to return to the distribution center?

Here are some questions: 1) the start payment is 21$/h ? 2) how often they raise the hourly payment? 3) what you do if you need to go to washroom in 9 hours shift? 4) what they ( camera guy) do if you speed up a bit, and how many times you are allow to do so before getting fired 😅? 5) everyone talking about UPS benefits, is there any benefit really? 6) how long it take to get the max rate of salary in this job? At the end take care of yourself ❤

Question: Did you like it when someone comes up to you during a delivery asking if you have their package? Like is it inconvenient for you? Does it help knock the number of deliveries off your route? Thank you!

I hate to say it but he’s right. You also just taught thieves how to steal the truck by giving them a tutorial. Might want to consider deleting this video before management sees it and fires you. I know your intentions were good but just consider what I’m saying bro. Peace ✌🏼

I would never have taken a video and posted it where supervision could see it when I worked there. It is bad enough having them come follow you around with out you helping them.
