Hangman in a week: burned Swerve's housr on wednesday and then "killed" him on saturday. He definetly deserved to win criminal of the year award
@MrTeamGuyАй бұрын
Swerve was a threat in his eyes. Don't forget, he entered Hangman home and stood next to his child. Later on after Hangman tapped out to Joe just to stop Swerve from winning AEW title, Swerve watched his house, watched how Hangman carried his pregnant wife to the hospital. Swerve is a guy who had no trouble going into people home to hurt them, had no problem with using cinderblocks to injure his tag team partner, had no problem torturing Billy Gun. I get on the edge of my seat not for the violence, but for the character progression. I watched this uncomfortable fight, and all the time I just wanted them to turn back time. For me this type of experience is excellent. Both characters were clearly made to be rooted for, while they both did terrible things. One man was pushed into this situation, and went over the line. While other went over the line and tried to be better later on. By the end, both guys step over the line at some point. Such a classic story to follow.

@@kryceksangel dude, you have no idea :D there are theories going in UK about government using BBC as a tool to shut down their political opposition. To the point a man who killed three little kids, turned out to be an actor of BBC series Dr Who.... And because the guy was 17, no one could reveal his identity. Nationwide riots started, and it was BBC who revealed the name of the killer (of course they didn't mentioned the guy played a role in their Dr Who episode). Maybe a coincidence, but two sides of rioters fighting each other while both agreeing on who is the enemy (government). In the end, BBC pit both sides against each other so nothing will be done against the government and refugee problem. BBC is saying one side doesn't want immigrants, while they just want a better system for illegals to be implemented into the migration. But, BBC paint them as racists and wish that protests would go violent so they can talk about being right all along. Therefore we got Police being placed in protests that are peaceful, while teenagers roam the streets and break in homes because police is being busy with peaceful crowds. Of course BBC reports the teenagers burning cars. But the part about Gov playing a part in this is just a theory, while the second part is basically what happened (seen it with my own eyes, talked with people in those protests from both sides)

Loving the ongoing Swerve/Hangman feud. The ridiculous level of escalation is something you’d never get from the other big promotion these days. Reminds me a bit of the Austin/HHH feud from late 2000/early 2001 where all they wanted to do was destroy each other utterly. Great stuff.
@MrTeamGuyАй бұрын
Austin/HHH as good as it was, it is unfair to bring up. As that was more like a sit com, due to zero continuity. Because their product is written like a sit come, they usually drop consistency due to it being inconvenient for their new storylines. While this blood feud, had full continuity and consistency of two well defined characters going over individual journeys. It just so happened that their stories clashed, played off each other, and turned to a blood feud. To be fair, I don't remember last time we even had a blood feud in three decades. These type of full continuity feuds brings me back to Terry Funk days. Him and Onita, Flair, Lawler, Rhodes.

Now based on wrestling logic, we know what’s the obvious outcome of the main event.. Swerve and Hangman should team up
@MrTeamGuyАй бұрын
Depends if Swerve learnt the lesion of karma. Hangman is now a monster, but it was Swerve who made him that way. While Hangman did show a bit of remorse at the end. And he didn't knew Swerve was trying to change (the match were they had a Draw, Nana was standing next to the ropes when Hangman was pinning Swerve. Hangman thought it was Nana who put Swerve leg on the rope). Swerve needs to apologize, but how can he now, Hangman burnt his childhood house down. Swerve has to be very tough to see through the hatred. But if he does see that it was karma hurting him, just delivered by a man that Swerve made sure to get personal with. I can see Hangman forgiving him, and now he also has that small bit inside where he feels remorse for the ways he hurt Swerve. But, the memory of Swerve being in his house, next to his kid, that turns Hangman back to monster again. Lets not forget Hangman started drinking again. If AEW managed to tell a story of Hangman and Swerve teaming up with a good execution. I would be up for that. Based on Any logic in any storytelling them teaming up is possible. Just have to put a lot of work into writing. By the small details they gave for this blood feud, I can totally see them delivering if they tried to make them team up. Of course, I more see them just getting on better terms instead of teaming up.

Those last two matches were absolutely brutal but even though hangman swerve was brutal. I couldn't get over them trying to murder Bryan Danielson on live television like brother Moxley trying to Manhunt plastic bag execute Bryan Danielson.

Great matches minus Mercedes Mone match, wow was that a flop
@derrickhaggardАй бұрын
And in reality Mercedes should've lost this match as the way the feud was booked was Shida had Mercedes figured out and could get one over on her and given her new aggressive stance, and Kamille being banned from ringside basically screamed that she was losing, but no she kicks out of the Falcon Arrow, Running Knee, and Katana all 3 of Shida's finishers at 1 along with no-selling their effect on her ala Hogan which was stupid as Falcon Arrow, and the Running Knee were somewhat protected as they usually get kicked out at around 2.99 and the opponent sells it like they barely kicked out at the last second and are still massively weakened and will go down soon, but the Katana that move was protected on the same level as the One-Winged Angel aka no one kicks out of it, and yet Mercedes being the spoiled brat with creative control has the match results changed to I kick out of all 3 of Shida's finishers at 1 and I come out looking like they did nothing to me, but I still beat her not cleanly but because I take advantage of sneak attack when my opponent is distracted.

I’m kind of relieved that the BTB didn’t work, which means it’s the move and not just how Sami does it (which always looks good enough to finish a match imo 👍)

Sami has won with the BTB a couple of times against styles 🤣

Again, a couple of the downs were a bit on the nitpicky side, but overall good job Simon 👍 You really need to post these ups/downs on your own channel instead of WC though

If he doesn't nitpick AEW shows, the Vincels throw fits.

I actually enjoyed the 4way. It was fun and overall proved that Takeshita is a star and AEW needs to give that man a title. I also believe Shida carried that match. She’s without a doubt the ACE of the women’s division. And Hangman did no wrong the man is INNOCENT.
@bradevans449Ай бұрын
It was a great show, as always. Osprey vs Pac was my favorite match of the night, I have a whole new respect for Pac now. Count me as one who really wants to see Takeshita and Okada go one-on-one. I want AEW to do more with Takeshita in general, the man deserves gold. My only Down for the night was the ending to Mercedes vs Shida. I expected Mercedes to win but it made Shida look weak and silly. This is twice in a row Mercedes has beaten top women in the company in a manner that made them look bad. I hope this trend doesn't continue.
