FYI - if you read the terms of service of the AI Upscaler you recommend in this video, it clearly states that they have the right to redistribute anything you upload as they see fit. So, kind of a stupid recommendation, mate. 8. Content and Output: "However, by posting Content using Service you grant us the right and license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content on and through Service."

I found it more cost-effective and convenient to just get the Affinity 2 suite. Affinity photo 2 is the program I use to upscale. It's a one-time purchase, so you don't gotta worry about Adobe's subscription model. If you can save up $200, you can get three solid programs that any designer can capitalize on.
@deborahlongmore2522 Жыл бұрын
How do you upscale in affinity 2 please?
@Ann-lj4nn Жыл бұрын
I'd like to know this as well!
@zeketestorman4981 Жыл бұрын
@@deborahlongmore2522 @Ann // Before we embark on this tale, I want you to imagine. Picture us not in this world of concrete and steel, but in the ethereal realm of the digital. Around us, the glow of a campfire flickers, not of wood and flame, but of pixels and binary. This is no ordinary gathering; this is a meeting of minds in the realm of Affinity Photo 2, a place where dreams take shape and images transform. We are not merely observers here. We are explorers, creators, artists. In the soft, pixelated glow of our digital campfire, we exchange tales and share wisdom. Tonight, we delve into a story of transformation, a journey of ten steps that will take a humble image from its modest beginnings to grandeur. So, gather closer, my friends. Warm your hands by the digital embers, let your eyes adjust to the ever-changing glow of the pixels. Listen to the whispers of the software's sprites in the quiet crackle and pop of our digital fire. It's time to begin our tale. A tale of metamorphosis, of growth, and of the magic that lies within Affinity Photo 2. Once upon a time, in the bustling digital kingdom of Affinity Photo 2, a humble image yearned for transformation. It desired to be grander, more significant, and it had chosen me, a wandering bard, to aid in its metamorphosis. Guided by the whispers of the software's sprites, I navigated to the mystical 'File' tab. There, hidden within its dropdown menu, lay the 'Open' option, a gateway to our quest. I knew then, it was time to seek our destined image. In the cavernous depths of my hard drive, I found the image, a humble portrait yearning for greatness. With a swift click, I brought it into our magical realm, Affinity Photo 2, preparing it for its destined transformation. Our journey led us next to the 'Document' tab. Here, nestled within its dropdown menu, we found 'Resize Document', a powerful incantation that could alter the very fabric of our image. Upon uttering this spell, a new realm unfolded before us, a control room of sorts. It was here we could adjust the size of our image, even manipulate the dots per inch, the DPI. The sprites whispered in my ear, guiding me to choose a DPI of 300 at the least and a size no smaller than 3500 pixels. But to truly elevate our image, I chose 400 DPI and 10,000 pixels. Content with our chosen measurements, I invoked the 'Resize' spell with a decisive click. In an instant, our humble image was transformed, magnified to grandeur, its details amplified and its presence striking. Our journey was nearing its end, but one final task remained. I returned to the trusted 'File' tab and from its dropdown menu, selected 'Export'. With a heart full of pride, I saved our newly transformed image in a special corner of my kingdom, ready to be admired by all who visited. Overwhelmed with joy and accomplishment, I couldn't help but celebrate. The humble image had undergone its destined transformation, reborn as a grand spectacle. It was a reminder of the power held within the kingdom of Affinity Photo 2, and the magic one could create with ten simple steps. Reclining by the digital hearth, I reveled in the glow of my achievement. I knew then that I was more than just a bard; I was an image wizard, an artisan in the realm of Affinity Photo 2. It was a journey of discovery and creation, a tale of transformation that would be passed down around many a campfire in the years to come. TL;DR 1) The program you are going to want to use is Affinity Photo 2. 2) Once the program is open, head to the [file] tab and select [Open] from the dropdown menu. 3) Look for the image you wish to upscale and open the file. 4) Once the image is loaded into Affinity Photo 2, click on the [Document] tab and select [Resize Document] from the dropdown menu. 5) Here you can adjust the size of your image under different forms of measurement, as well as the dots per inch (dpi). 6) I recommend a dpi of 300 minimum and 3500 pixels minimum. I typically use 400dpi and 10,000 pixels. 7) Once you are happy with your desired measurements, hit the [Resize] button and voila! Your document has now been resized. 8) All you need to do is go to the [File] tab again and select the [Export] option in the dropdown menu, then save the document to your desired location! 9) Be happy you now have a resized document! 10) Relax and know you're awesome.

@@zeketestorman4981 I'd definitely read that book. Per your instructions, would this not result in incredible detail loss and pixelation?
@zeketestorman4981 Жыл бұрын
@Ann Negative. The program adjusts the document to fit the size. As long as you stick to the Aspect Ratio similar to your image, the amount of pixels won't matter. Just keep the chain between the pixels selected while in [Resize Document], and it will lock the adjustments to your aspect ratio. Changing the actual dimensions of the image is what will give you distortions, but not the adjusting pixels. I have even downsized a document before with no issues. You mostly need to consider if your computer has a gpu strong enough to render something as large as, say, 10,000 pixels and 400dpi. Most modern computers do, though, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. On the off chance you don't, then the render will just take longer to complete, but it's not like you're rendering an 8k video for the internet.
