Nice pattern. Thanks. I’ve been using arctic fox for winging material on a small sand eel/sand lance saltwater pattern I’ve been tying for years….really nice stuff. Thanks for the river info and for your reports, in general, as they are very informative.

Really enjoy the tying !! Question tho,,, you say they are shallow in the lake. What does that actually mean? 10’?20’? Are they shallow enough where I could target them with a fly rod and kayak? I assume I would need a full sink line and tip. Are they still eating when they stage up for the fall run?

No, they are anywhere from 100ft all the way out too 500ft, the bay is full of warm bath water, the next few days we should see a change

Does time in a year, Salmon being shallow, Would be referring to Fish in about 60 to 70 feet of water. Where they normally could beIn 150 feet of water. Keep in mind, The depth where the fish change within a few hours. However, Late September early OctoberThe month of the Rivers the fish Can be accessible

How would that comet fish if you put the bead chain eyes on the underside of the hook ? Would it snag on the bottom less or more ?

In essence in the water that fly must look very similar to a bugger, but even quicker to tie. Every do it in blue and black?

I tie them in a way to have a lot of movement in the water. And yes black and blue can work very well
