As a Berliner I have to say that Sonnenallee looked much like this even before 2015. It has always been famous for it's arabic shops and restaurants. After 2015 some shops might have been added, basically all over the neighbourhood. But the general character has not changed from what I can tell.

This is quite similar to Malaysia, in Bukit Bintang number of Arab restaurants, cafes, saloon, convenience store, supermarket etc. are all operared by Syrians and Yemenis immigrant who reside in Malaysia. Have no problem with them doing business but somehow the Malaysian culture may be drown by foreigners in the future. Germany will definitely regret this decision…. Saying this as a German local. Just check how, for example, Frankfurt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) was some years ago and after they got to live there. It is completely disastrous, not only Frankfurt, but way more other cities all around Germany. Yes, cultural diversity is good, but if someone doesn’t integrate within the host country’s society…then they should go back to their country. The only thing I’ve seen on the past years is people not even trying to learn the language, who expect us to follow their own rules and culture (not even mentioning the religious rules), and way too many crimes. You visit many different places and usually have a breakdown that include how much your dollar goes there ($50 in one day challenge etc), a video about something unique in the city (example this arab neighborhood, or the panama canal in panama, or the Expo in Dubai) and often something unique going on in the country or city (people leaving San Francisco, crazy inflation in places like Lebenon or Argentina, etc). Good stuff. Just wish your videos weren't flooded with workers of China's govt so often.

Very interesting Uptin. I first visited Berlin in 1967 and of course the WALL and lookout towers dominated the experience. In 2000 I spent a week in a village just north of Berlin at the home of our recent exchange student (she was with us one year) Her parents were my age and had grown up in the Eastern sector. What stories they had! Then - The new Potsdam Square with huge contemporary corporate buildings was just by where the old Checkpoint Charlie had been. Quite a change…..and now even more as you show. It’s better to be more diverse in a society. BUT I still think it was a big mistake to take in to many people in such a short time. It will create Gettos and people don’t integrate in the Germany society. As of last year 2/3 of all Syrians are still without a job and living from the government’s money, 8 years in a welcoming countryman you could not get a job… (Eu statistics, look it up). It’s not fair to others in the society to just do no contribution and live on their backs. Why do you have 5-6 kids when you are running away from war? Making kids here just so they have a German passport and their financial future is safe. Since that crisis right wing party’s like the AfD got so many votes, nobody would even imagined it before it. There was never such a spike since after the secound world war. It’s a shame that the refugees outside of Europe are taking advantage of our system, compared to Ukrainian that you never do any crime at all, at least not on the scale of others. I was really pro refugees back in 2014/15 but after the years I came to the conclusion that they will never assimilate and be a real part of the society. I talked to Arabic people, they will tell you that. I was always liberal but on this topic I don’t see how it will work with Arabic people in Europe.
