I've been a fan of yours and a subscriber for quite a while now, and I barely ever comment on KZbin videos just because a lot of people don't actually choose to reply to the comments ( or read them for that matter ), but I've got a couple of things I'd like to put out there. First off as a professional touring drummer myself it's clear that you're seriously talented, I'd do unspeakable things to have your rudiment skills, it's something I really lack as I'm self taught and never bothered to put the time in on that aspect, but it's something I find you really nail, every time. I read through all of the unnecessary hate on the Anika Nilles jam when that was put up, and to put it bluntly I think you were robbed. If you had more control over the mix of your kit I can guarantee you'd not have had that shitstorm of ridiculous comments, you stood your ground even up with the likes of ( in my opinion ) one of the best up and coming drummers around right now. Which is something in itself to be immensely proud of. It just sucks to see so many close minded individuals taking the opportunity to really rip into you, for literally no reason. I really felt for you man, that can't of been easy to brush off. I know you've got your style, and your style is what makes you who you are, but I'd love to see a video without any stick tricks. I'm not saying I hate 'em or anything, quite the opposite, I just think you'd play so much more solidly without them, and as a fan it's something I'd love to watch. Because you are so talented I think doing too many stick tricks seems a bit like dumbing down to appeal to the masses, and I think you owe it to yourself as a musician to make a series where it's just you, locking in, and making it sound tight and awesome. It makes sense I know, because with added stick tricks you can impress an audience of musicians with your playing, whilst entertaining a completely different set of people that don't know anything about drumming, yet still watch thinking 'that's some impressive looking shit right there!' It makes sense commercially on KZbin to appeal to a wider range of people, I get that; But as I say I'd love to watch you and appreciate you solely as a musician, even for just one video. In short; you're awesome, and I love watching your material mate. Massive fan all the way from the UK. Keep it up dude.

Wow. I immensely appreciate you taking the time to comment and throw in your opinions and knowledge. I try to read and reply to as much as I can, especially on my recent uploads, so I'm glad you did! From one drummer to another I'm honored to know you enjoy what I do and enjoy my skills behind the kit. I appreciate the back up on the Anika video as well. I always know what I'm in for when videos like that are posted, so it didn't surprise me too much, but it's still annoying to see the amount of people who think that they need to try and put someone else down to make themselves feel better, but it's expected. I know what I am and I know what I'm not, and what sucks is a lot of the hate comes from people who expect or want me to be some stuck up, full of himself drummer who thinks he's all that when it couldn't be further from the truth. I'm just a drummer like everyone else who loves to play and loves to drum and entertain people. As far as the stick tricks, they are definitely done as an entertainment factor. I do also enjoy them and find them to be fun and exciting, but it's definitely mostly because people love watching them. There are times where I play without any, and I have considered doing some videos without any of the extra stuff. That might be something on the horizon. I've got some new territory to expand into soon and I believe some of those areas will involve less showmanship and more precision for studio/recording applications. I do have videos of myself playing live at my church where I leave out the stick tricks (although still very high energy to help people get that passion and energy). Okay first of all its not the kit its you. I don't care how shity your drum kit is it can be tuned to sound good or at the least dissent . The only thing standing between you and good sounding drum set is your ability to tune a drum set. I guarantee if someone with good tuning ability tuned your drum kit it would sound like a Yamaha or a pearl. The only thing that cant be changed is sound is your cymbals now that's something you need to invest in if you want them to sound good.

Depends on what that drummer is going for. If they're looking for one of the best sounding kits on the market, they would probably go with a Pearl Reference kit, but if you're looking for a killer sounding kit that has the unique look of acrylic, then yeah they would definitely use this kit!

Churches that have this much money make me sick to my stomach, what a disgusting display of vanity. You could build a homeless shelter with the amount of money that been given to this church, but they decide to make their church into a nightclub and probably pocket the rest.

Yet, if the church was run down, people similar to you would then say, "How do they expect to people to want to come when their building looks in such poor shape? They dont even have any modern technology to make the place appealing to non-belevers". Point being, people will always find ways to complain.

You've got it all wrong man, A rational thinking non-beleving adult IS NOT going to look at a church fitted out with modern technology coming out of the whazoo and say, "Woah, that place looks hip, I wonder what that Jesus thing is about, anyway? I think I'll take a look" No, my friend, Like myself, they are going to be disgusted that of all the money that church has, they don't put it to something meaningful and worthwhile. A clean, humble place of worship is all that is needed. Not an overzealous nightclub for Jesus freaks. A tax-free church that spends $100k+ on audio, lighting and visual displays is exactly what is wrong with this world when we have enormous amounts of poverty and socio-economic despair at our doorsteps Other churches get by with the basics and still have a great sense of community and morale. Vanity in Christianity seems to be extremely prevalent which is quite ironic considering. Ecclesiastes 5:10
