අපි කථා කරමු ============== සන්නා සමග මා කළ කථාබහ යූටියුබ් නාලිකාවෙන් නැරඹූ විශාල වැඩිහිටියන් පිරිසක් මා ඇමතුවා. ඇතැමුන් මගේ සම වයසේ. ඇතැමුන් මට වඩා වයසින් වැඩියි. ඒ කියන්නේ හැමෝම ජේෂ්ඨ පුරවැසියෝ. හැටට වැඩියි. මේ අතරේ වැඩිමහල්ම චරිතය විශ්‍රාම ගිය ග්‍රාමසේවක මහත්තයෙක්. එතුමට වයස අව්රැදු අසූ හතරක්. මේ හැමෝටම තමන් කුඩා අවදියේ අත්විඳි අසුබ අතවරයක් පිළිබඳව කථාවක් තිබුනා. මං පහුගිය දින දෙක ගතකළේ මහනුවර. නගරය සහ අවට ජීවත්වෙන වැඩිහිටියන් සිව් දෙනෙක් මා මුණගැහුනා. ඔවුන් සිව් දෙනාගෙන් තිදෙනෙක්ම තමන්ගේ කථාව කිව්වේ ඇස්වල කඳුළු පුරෝගෙන. අසූ හතර වියැති ග්‍රාමසේවක මහත්තයා පොඩි දරැවෙකු වාගේ ඉකි ගහලා ඇඬුවා. මං ඔහුට ඇති තරම් අඬන්න ඉඩහැරලා නිහඬවම හිටියා. මේ අය අතරේ හිත හයියම කෙනාට වයස අවුරැදු හැට හතක්. ඔහු අතවරයට ලක්වෙනකොට අව්රැදු දහයයි. එතැන් සිට ගතවූ අව්රැදු පනස් හතක්ම තමන්ව අතවරයට ලක්කළ තැනැත්තාට වෛර කරනවා. සාප කරනවා. මං කිව්වම "මම නම් කුරැකූඹියෙකුටවත් හීනෙකින්වත් වෛර කරලා නැහැ" කියලා ඔහුට පුදුමයි. ඔහු කීවා "දැං මගේ හිත නිදහස් නිසා මම මෙතැන් සිට වෛරී සිතුවිලි වලින් මිදෙනවා" කියලා. ඒක ලොකු අස්වැසිල්ලක්. මේ වාගේ තව කීදාහක් ඇත්ද තමන්ගේ කථාව හිතේ හිරකරගෙන පීඩා විඳින අය. මට ඉතා නිහතමානී සතුටක් දැනෙනවා මං එදා සන්නා ඉදිරියේ මගේ කථාව දිගහැරීම නිසා විශාල පිරිසක් තමන්ගේ කථාව කවුරැන් සමග හෝ කියන්නට පෙල ගැහෙනවාට. මා වෘත්තිකයෙක් නොවන නිසා ඔබට උපදෙස් දෙන්නට සදාචාරාත්මක අයිතියක් මට නැහැ. මං එහෙම උපදෙස් දෙන්න දන්නෙත් නැහැ. නමුත් මට පුළුවනී ඔබේ කථාව අහගෙන ඉන්න. දුරකථනයෙන් හරි, මුණගැසී හරි ඔබේ කථාව පැය ගනන් අහගෙන ඉන්න මට පුළුවනී. ඔබේ හිතේ බර බිමින් තියන්න, ඔබට පවණක් වෙන්න, ඔබේ කඳුළු වියැලෙන තුරැ සහෝදර ප්‍රේමයෙන් ඔබව වැළඳගෙන ඉන්න මට පුළුවනී. අපි කථා කරමු. විෂ්ණු වාසු සිම්පල් සයිමන් 0772262267

I only watched this story in 2024 but how relevant it our society this day is very much the big picture that gets not enough support or help with specially to the victims. The social Stigma and the non availability of required services to address the mental issues relating to sadistic behaviour of the phedophilic clergy in every denomination needs to be exposed and brought to justice as it is now happening in the western world. I new a classmate of my brother who was ordained as a monk when he was about 8 years old at the Muthiyangana temple was abused by the Nayaka hamuduruwo and had to be taken back home and referred to psychiatrist treatment to help with the healing process to function normally. Sri Lanka needs laws and empowerment of these victims to come forward in exposing these thugs and lock them in the public boarding house away from their V8 culture. Thank you Upul for this excellent interview and Vaduz for coming forward with your life experience.
