Man I started this format strong with trophies back to back, my last 3 drafts I have got flood and screwed into oblivion even with solid filtering and draw. You cannot stumble, so its pretty frustrating. Still enjoying it because it new, and I have enjoyed the additions to my brawl decks.

@@Spect3r. It's because they didn't originate from this set, but from previous ones. Magic cards from previous sets being available in more recent sets always carry their original set's symbol because that's just how Wizards does it.

Nummy, you didn't punt at game 1 in the last match. Opponent was at 13 life and could leave unblocked your 4 power attackers. You could argue to hold the 2 power creature hoping opponent to chump fearing a trick. But he probably would not block, since holding a attacker hints you dont have such trick. I think you made the right play.

But the opponent had Phyrexian Arena in play, which means that if they did not block with the Basilica Shepherd they would go to 1 life (12 dmg from 3 4/4 creatures) and then on their upkeep lose 1 life to Phyrexian Arena and die. So the extra 2/2 attacker didn't matter and could have been kept on defense in case they had a removal spell.

Yeah, he could have had 2 blockers, which may not have made a difference, but would have forced OP to have 2 removal, trick etc vs 1. 12 damage + arena trigger was lethal. Watching the light bulb slowly come on after the game is like me after every FNM.
