Thank you so much! Just started watching them today. Very goodlooking writing by the way! And you write in latin just the way I do placin double vowel on long vowels, not all teachers on youtube do. Thanks again!

***** When learning/teaching it is important to use diacritical marks , and when we miss them in the videos it is only out of habit. In daily life people generally do not use diacritical marks.

+Saifi Institute For Arabic Language that's why its quite different from the language being spoken here in Qatar,,,
@SaifiArabic9 жыл бұрын
+Jeffrey Bautista there is a completely different language being spoken where you are (usually referred to as Gulf Arabic). We are sorry that you mistook our course for Gulf Arabic, but we do out best with our local language called Levantine Arabic. Pretty much all we do is teach Levantine Arabic using the Urban Arabic curriculum. Maybe you have a good link to a good Gulf-Arabic teacher? Pass it on to others who might be interested?

+Saifi Institute For Arabic Language I've been offered to go to Israel for 5 months in the Summer Intensive Arabic. Apparently they have an Israeli (Zionist entity/Occupied Palestine) dialect, different from the Palestinian (Arab). What would that be?

This is a very popular dialect along with Iraqi, khaleejy and Egyptian. It is handy to learn how to speak the common Arabic. Modern or Standard Arabic is a little different, the pronouns are said differently.

A little flooded with information for an older brain, but I like this and realize that it will take time. Is there a lesson that explains the 'hamsa' use, meaning, sound, etc? I'm suspecting that it has some kind of parallel to niqqud marks used with Hebrew. (which I don't have down either...)

Im not arabic by any means. I am Hispanic. But i do speak three languages and arabic will be my 4th. Reason being i am surrounded by Lebanese, Portuguese and latinos. Im not looking to meet the president of any of these nations. So the common slang is what i learn. Even tho i do use proper teachers to learn proper Arabic, slang is many peoples way to get started. And this is what she is teaching. So get your heads out of your butts.
