Very interesting video Nick...(love the background sound from the temple...and also your comment about how the karma would be when those frogs and fishes are eaten by the Black-crowned Night Herons 😀)
@BirdingwithNick Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I have always wondered how the people who caught the fish and frogs in the first place atone for the bad karma that they must have gained through those acts. It would be fun to make a similar vdo for somewhere in jakarta when I am there in September. Any suggestions where to go?

Great video! Very informative. Will surely visit this place. Had been hearing the Plaintive Cuckoo since I came to Bangkok in 2008. No one could tell me what bird made that sound. Now I know!! 😊🙏

The location itself is nothing that special, I sort of used it as an example of what can be seen in any similar habitat in and around Bangkok. Glad to put you out of your misery regarding the cuckoo.

Hi thanks for the upload! I subscribed because i'm in the process of planning a trip to another Asian bird watching trip being the last one was 4 years ago in Vietnam. I've seen over 30 species just being around Ho Chi Minh city like Drongos, zebra pigeons, blue-throated and green bee-eaters, Tailorbirds, sunbirds, and my personal best....Burmese Shrike!

Very interesting ! I'm currently looking into travelling to Thailand. Birdwatching might be just the greatest past time :D Did all these birds turn up on the same day ? Do you go there very early ?
@BirdingwithNick Жыл бұрын
Very early is definitely key to birding in Thailand as it gets hot quickly, although most of this was between 7-10am. I did see all of these species in a single morning but it took several visits to video them.

Hi, great video, what's the best way to get there from Sukhimvit area? Is there a BTS stop nearby or else taxi? Thanks.

Nick .....How many months did it take to photograph the birds that you have posted.....

Most of the footage of birds was shot in two visits to the area. I used a little bit of video from some other sites to increase the number of shots for some species.

Very nice. You obviously filmed it in winter. I think I should start filming birds instead of shooting still photos of them only. I think filming requires more patience and energy. You got to be there several times before you collected enough materials to edit and compile into one short video. Greetings from Eastern Bangkok
@BirdingwithNick2 жыл бұрын
It really does require a lot of time, persistence and luck. Yes, usually several visits are needed to create a video like this. I find it useful to obtain short clips of common birds every time I see them, anywhere I see them so that little bits can be used in various videos as supplementary footage. Thanks for watching and glad you liked it. Thanks also for your thoughtful comment.
