Urban Carry G3 holster is a holster can holds your carry gun underneath your waist line. Sounds good in theory right? We review it to see if it is.

Dude I like it It may work for me Thanks for your review Plus I have a packed utility belt And that part of my belt is free Plus I use osde pockets and wear semi baggie shorts all year round except a couple days of winter Also I keep a knife clipped to my right hand pocket so I leave that pocket free I have many other pockets That's just what I was looking for Anything on the waist would be too much and a shoulder holster would be impossible to conceal I wear sleeveless shirts Thanx again

I agree it's a gimmick. But I've found it's a gimmick that works for me. The line will become less obvious as the leather becomes broken in. People carry all sorts of stuff in their pockets like wallet, keys, phone, and knife... I've never had anyone assume the bulge was a firearm. That said, I am using the g2 which has magnet retention and less material. I have the g3 as well and like the trigger guard retention, but because the g3 has a built-in cant that makes it hang right and because I carry cross draw, I use it less than my g2. I wear it all the time. Even at work as a Carpenter/framer. I wear suspenders with the tool belt just snug but not tight and the firearm in the urban carry is quite comfortable. I think the biggest con is the seated draw where you don't have the ease of position adjustment such as sitting upright in the car with a seat belt on. Can be done, but need practice

I am glad to hear that it works for you. I’ve never used the G2 so if you say it has less material then the bulge would be a lot less noticeable. For me the g3 is way more noticeable than a wallet or phone in my front pocket. I’ve heard from someone else though, people these days have their heads buried in their phones so much they will never notice any printing. Just for me I’d like to be as concealable as possible.

I work overnight in a job that has a high risk of criminal actions....however they also have a no weapon policy. I was using a trigger guard clip paracord pocket carry holster that flopped around, rotated, inverted, etc where drawing would be unreliable as well as using a smaller gun for carry. I now carry comfortably with my normal EDC without anyone having a clue. Don't get me wrong I miss my IWB I use off work but I have found my self using the UCG3 all day everyday. I also keep my phone in the pocket next to it but even with the phone out it is well hidden.

@@beastside9400did you get this holster? thinking of getting one for my G3 as it seems to be the best for my circumstances.

Thanks for the demo. Find anything else IWB you do like? My current is for my non small carry, Taurus 24/7 OSS Tactical .45 ACP. I've got the Alien Gear OWB and IWB styles, decent but I want better comfort when doing IWB. The Taurus is my small sidearm, the other is Ruger Blackhawk SA .357 Mag 6.5 inch circa 1969.

I have a couple from We The People Holsters. They are fine. My most used and comfortable is from JX tactical.

There's no getting around that it looks like there's something in your pants. I can't say it looks totally like there's a firearm there though. Just... something. Maybe they need to put a diagonal bulge in the bottom to disguise it as something else. AKA the "John Holmes edition". Although I guess the point is to draw less attention. Jokes aside, love that you showed it with the P365XL and Ruger, as those happen to be my two possible carries that I own. I'll probably pass on the G3 though.

I appreciate your comment and your view. For me the bugle doesn’t scream I have a gun but it is noticeable. For me I want to be as concealable as possible.

It just doesn't work for me. It gets stuck when I draw.

@GunsaholicAnonymous with me, it sticks if the belt is loose or tight

That sucks. What firearm are you carrying in the holster?

That’s a very nice pistol. The holster is a very good idea. I’ve just found too many problems with it.
