Even the highest court of India don't have any rights to talk about a community to be in ST list or not. Any community can demand it and send recommendation for it, if the community fullfill the criteria for ST , they will get it else not. So, no other communities or person can object it. Meitei has general,OBC and sc.Meitei follows hindu,Muslim and Christianity and their own religion Sanamahism.Yes,they have their own language like any other community but they also have their own script like: Tai-Khampti: The Tai-Khampti tribe in Arunachal Pradesh has its own script, the Tai script (Lik-Tai). Galo: The Galo tribe of Arunachal Pradesh has its own script, the Galo script or Mopin script. Santali: The Santali language has its own script, the Ol-Chiki script. Ho: The Ho language has its own script. Gondi: The Gondi language has its own script. Kurux: The Kurux language has its own script. Mundari: The Mundari language has its own script. This is an act of judicial overreach into the premise of executive. SC or HC don't have the right to intervene or they are not the authority to decide a community will be included in the ST List or not. What is the reason for being set up National Commission for ST & SC if SC overrules over such Commission? For the last decades multiple interventions from SC into the arena of Executive and Legislature which were not supposed to be intervened have been witnessed. So Judicial Activism or Judicial Overreach is too much. Judiciary must avoid it as per situation.

One thing we should think that the present Chief Justice of Manipur High court never seen to visit relief camps in Imphal and interact with meiteis who are in the relief camp but he visited at Kangpokpi relief camps and help them, he should interact and help both the affected communities.
