I've done night photography off and on over the years, but even though your videos are often aimed more at beginners, I never fail to learn new things. You have a clear teaching style. As a bonus, it's fun to see some of the Western Canada locations where I've also shot -- like Sandon and Kaslo in this one. Thanks for what you do.

Holy moly now i understand the relationship of iso and shutter. The 15 sec 100 iso and 1/60 6400 iso explains it all. Thank you. Lmao the revelation in my face. that is why it is nice and crisp because you let in a lot of light!

Hello Chris. I’m a beginner so I apologize if the question sounds silly. I was really intrigued when you walked up to the theater. I’ve never heard or seen this done before. In walking up to the theater with the flashlight, how did you ensure you were not in the shot? How did you remove yourself & the flashlight from it? Was the camera set on a timer, or was that merely using a slow shutter speed? I’d love to try this but am unsure of how to execute it properly. Thanks.

Hi Chris. Im loving all your content. Onde doubt: can i substitute a tripod by placing the camera (lets say M50) on sometinhg stable like the car roof or even the curb?

I’m learning so much just by watching your videos. I’ve also been considering an upgrade from my Canon T5i so the M50 will be it! Thank you so much for doing these for us. I love how you take the time to explain things as I’m a beginner. Can I use the lenses that I have for my T5i (55-250mm, Samyang 14mm F2.8) on this M50?
@attrell
@attrell 3 жыл бұрын
That m50 is the easiest night photography camera ever! You will need an adapter to use those lenses, I think it costs $250 but pretty much every camera store will sell it. The Canon M22mm lens is about $250 as well, that is a great night photo lens for m50.

Thank you so much for the information. I appreciate it and I’ll look into the M22 lens as well.

Awesome video! How come you don't show up with motion blur in the photo when you're shining the flashlight on the theater sign?

I keep moving and wearing dark. If I wore a wedding dress and moved slower, you would see motion.

At approximately 8 minutes in, you light paint the Monarch sign. How did you eliminate yourself from the final image and is the camera's shutter open for the duration? Thx

If you tried urban lowlight photography in the USA, you'd most likely be robbed of anything of value before your first exposure was finished.
