The places shown here in this video look soooo much more clean than anywhere in my country. Like it almost looks like a movie set or stage set because of how clean the roads look. Its so hard to "urban sketch" anywhere where im from because theres nowhere clean to sit, theres many people and pollution around, and sometimes people will obviously hover over your shoulder as you work and its very distracting for me. Theres also the threat of people stealing your things as you draw 😅
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
Singapore streets are quite clean. But it's better to bring a small portable lightweight stool that allows you to sit anywhere. Sometimes you want to sit under the shade but the place is dirty and that's where the stool is useful.

I've always wondered which ink Teoh uses in his fountain pen. Is it Noodler's Bulletproof Black? Any other waterproof ink, such as Indian Ink, would clog the pen. Does anyone know for certain? I just found Teoh's reply to the same question below. It's "SketchINK" by Rohrer and Klingner.

What ink do you use for your fountain pen? It is waterproof/resistant.
You say, "Hopefully the audio quality for today's video will be better." I remember you had a Sennheiser microphone and transmitter set. Something high end. That sounds much more professional and reliable to me than Saramonic. Why not just use your Sennheiser equipment?
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
The Sennheiser has to go with the much heavier mirrorless camera. I'm trying to keep my setup light. So how's does audio quality, for the outdoor segment, in this video sound to you?
@nongfaath3 жыл бұрын
@@teohyc Sound quality: not bad, intelligible, you have to 'fight' a bit with the background noise. Usually your videos sound better. But it's not entirely fair to judge when you have to talk through a mouth mask. The sound is certainly better than the Madras-Dunlop video. The beauty of investing in professional sound equipment is that it usually lasts long: longer than your chair, video camera or art supplies. :-)
