This tutorial along with your previous one about vanishing points, are very helpful. Basic concepts but very important ones to keep in mind. And your tutorial is quite exhaustive covering lots of possible situations. Thanks.

Thank you Teoh! This is a subject that all artists study to some degree, but it can be very difficult to actually sketch it out. You carefully reviewed the principles, but then you illustrated this with multiple examples of different architecture. Even people! I was so stunned how you portrayed the people in the crowd as farther away, and some close up! Stunning!

Thank you for this tutorial Teoh! I only use observation before, sometimes it’s really challenging to get the right angle and my sketch looks bit off. Now i know how to apply the perspective knowledge to my sketch. Thank you!

Hi Teoh, do you want your KZbin followers to send you snap shots for new reference photos? I bet you would get cool photos from all over the globe! Thanks for the horizon lines lesson. I am sketching Canadian lighthouses right now and this fits right in. Merci from Vancouver Island.

This was an interesting demonstration. I understand about vanishing points and horizon lines; but, I still get tripped up when I'm working on a hill which is above the horizon line and I'm trying to capture a trail which zigzags across the side of the hill. Have you ever used unsplash.com for reference photos?

Thanks this video was Useful, but i have a qeuistion, if a scen tilted, horizon line should be tilt too?
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
Horizon will always be horizontal. If horizon is tilted, then everything else will be tilted.

How do you find the horizon line so easy
@teohyc2 жыл бұрын
Look for the area where all the lines seem to be horizontal. The horizon line is behind.
