Tokyo master of transparent architecture Sou Fujimoto removes boundaries between exterior and interior. He became internationally known as a visionary, who stands between nature and architecture. At the age of 41, he became the youngest creator of the Serpentine Gallery summer pavilion in 2013. Back then, visitors of London’s Hyde Park were admiringly exploring his steel-white grid-like construction reminding of a floating cloud.
Other extraordinary buildings followed, such as the White Tree tower in Montpellier, France, resembling a pine tree, or a glass public toilet, designated only for women, in the middle of a garden near Tokyo. In one year, one of his buildings will be completed in Budapest, where he designed the House of Music. In Prague, Fujimoto will partake in an architecture competition for a complex of buildings, which will be built on the site of the former Telecom building in Žižkov.
Sou Fujimoto will arrive to the capital to attend the Summit of architecture and development, organised by the Association for Architecture and Development, that supported the lecture at CAMP.
