Good plan to cycle the vitamix contents through the bin. I suppose it's harder to remediate a UWB in its entirety because you really can't get all the way through the bin like you can with a tote system. Time will tell - those worms will be happy with the moisture and food! ~ Sandra

The vitamix output isn't compost just dehydrated scraps. There are a lot of things I run through the vitamix I would never add to a bin so this is sort of testing that out as well.

I almost wish that the ecompost didn't "work" so well do that I can add it directly to the vermicompost every time! Cool update. 🤓

Nice looking night crawlers bit of water they will bounce back. The africans. Night crawlers do like it warmer weather also 🪱🇳🇿

I sure hope so! This might be my last system with ANCs in it so if they don't bounce back I might be out of luck.

Eh, instead of hot composting the FoodCycler scraps directly in the worm bin, I feed it to my Reencle Prime aerobic digester for about a week and then empty half of it into the worm bin. That way, it's already been bacterially metabolized and then it's perfect for the worms to consume directly.

That looks like an interesting unit but it is a bit hard to say I should have two different composters for my food scraps. However I would love to test one of these out and compare it to FoodCycler especially for some of the more stringy items that it sometimes has issues with.
