I just want to say for those who find this video and have not gotten their piercings yet. 1.) You should always receive a full explanation before and after getting your piercing. 2.) The shop should be clean and customer service should be attentive and follow procedures. 3.) I would recommend flipping the piercing upward to heal for the first 3 weeks of having it. 4.) whomever does your piercings should NOT use a gun. All piercing equipment should be opened while you are there and NOT PREUSED OR ALREADY OPENED. And they should sterilized. whomever does your piercing should give good attention to where his marks are placed and should change gloves when appropriate. 5.) IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE, UNSATISFIED, OR UNSURE WITH THE SHOP YOU'VE CHOSEN, DO NOT GET YOUR PIERCING THERE. This shit ain't no game y'all lol I got mine done yesterday. great man, good piercing, and great environment. I will be going back to get the jewelry changed once I'm healed and so excited! but I'm no expert so make sure to look up information on it!

Exactly this!!! I went to a bad piercing shop when I got my first (conch) he bend the ring when it was already in my ear and bend it back while still in my ear. Hurt like hell. And didnt tell me till i got problems with my piercing and went back. I just went there cus my sister had gone there a few years before to get a helix. Worst decision. Had problems with it for 2 years (partially also my fault for not caring well but it also didnt have a good start) and finally decided to take it out and let it full heal a couple days ago. Already looks a lot better than it has in months

It seems like everyone says different things. My piercer said to avoid all saline water and salt soaks. Only water and anti bacterial soap 1 time a day at the end of my shower. It’s what I’ve used with my other piercings and I’ve had no problems. No crusties and minimal soreness. He said piercings that use saline/salt soaks/tree oil take much longer to heal. @@Cardiax can i use a rag? like a rag that is smooth, that won't get caught on the septum
@Cardiax3 жыл бұрын
@@no-ul2mg Like a microfiber cloth? I wouldn't ask someone like me for advice on this. I'm not a piercer, just a CNA in training who loves body modification. That being said, a rag might work, as long as the fibers in it are very, VERY tiny. You'd want to reduce the amount of damage to the injury while it heals so the smoother the item used to clean it, the better. You'll want to avoid the risk of snagging anything on the scabs and bits of jewelry and any jagged, uneven skin. If you use a cloth, be sure to wash it thoroughly after every use, using a fragrance-free soap. (I forgot about this "rule," and I realized that my nose started to get really painfully irritated when I started using a soap with fragrance in it. After I switched back to a fragrance-free face wash, the irritation went away.) I'd suggest washing it by hand as well, as machine washing can damage fibers a lot quicker. For my own piercing, what has worked for me is just not using any third-party items. I just use my own fingers. lol Since my nostrils are really small though, I can only really use my pinky fingertips. PS: I love your username. lol

Got mine done 2 weeks ago and its crusting. I try to move it to clean it and its painful and hard to do so. When i get it to rotate there is crusting on it. Is it infected or is this normal?
@ladylyssa51308 жыл бұрын
I think that's normal. I just removed all the crust, then cleaned it regularly.
@izamaryramirez31218 жыл бұрын
It's normal if it's crusty. Run some warm water over your nose and the piercing so that the crust can get off.
@emilycerny46318 жыл бұрын
thanks guys! The crusting finally stopped!
@jenniferbonilla83737 жыл бұрын
The crust is most likely a scab and thats normal well...it doesnr matter now lol but its part of the healing process so it hurt cause you were tearing the scab away, which it could get it infected

I like how everyone is debating the salt water thing I was told that is bad Some people use it Either way from who I've met that have them it didn't get infected OH and I don't wash my hands before moving my piercing but I'm not touching the hole so I don't know why that would get infected And I can't figure out how to clean it with a q-tip because even if I do get it up my nose to touch it then I don't feel anything sting so I don't know if it's cleaned
@luluah11987 ай бұрын
I cup warm water into my hands and sort of sniff it up the nose and push out gently. It’s most comforting way of cleaning it. After that dry it, (I roll up toilet roll paper , just one sheet it’s thin enough, especially to get rid of any mucus, if it dries ont the ring then it turns into the piercing it could be a bit painful. After that I use saline solution with q tips . I do disinfect my cup with boiling water for 5 mins before putting saline into it. Some folks say no to qtips and only use saline spray. But I’ve tried both and I see no problem . See what works for you, but the spray can run out easily and it’s more expensive especially if you have several other piercings like me . I can’t see my piercing hole either (high up) or feel any pain or sting. I just hold the ring with clean hands firmly, and reach high as possible where I think the entry point is wipe around it, and a bit down. Then I use another qtip wipe the ring on the outside of my nose over and under . It keeps the ring clean, and the ring does naturally spin so it will go through the piercing eventually . If it’s not kept clean and you’re touching it without washing hands a lot it could get infected . If you feel dry or from saline try once a day rather than twice. And just snuff water into nose when you shower and remember to dry it clean, stop any mucus crusting over .

I've had my septum pierced for about a month now and I just went to get it changed to a smaller circular barbell. I have a bump on the left side and I've been doing salt soaks and when I don't have time I swab it really well with the solution. I started using tea tree oil to help because people told me it would. How long will it take to go away? I can't wear it at school and it is slightly painful to flip up on the one side. Do you have any advice to get rid of the piercing bump?

@huntressaddict2 жыл бұрын
for the future (if you haven't already done the piercing), don't use tea tree oil or oil at all with bumps. it doesn't help, irritation bumps will dry up and fall off on their own @@ryansmith8574
