pro - super easy to hide - easy to heal - many jewelry options - leaves basically no scarring - easy piercing to get con - hard to get straight - have slight smell to them in the beginning - tons of cheap jewelry out there. make sure to get implant grade material: 14k gold, surgical stainless steel, titanium piece (avoid silver) - certain jewelry, like circular bar bells, will get bumped and sit crooked. - difficult to blow/wipe your nose in the beginning.

The guy that did my septum piercing did an amazing job. I didn't even feel it. He was even surprised.. he said " wow you're eyes didn't even water, you must've been made for one" 😂

Your video on Septum Piercing Aftercare was a gem 💎 for me (my research before procedure). My septum piercing was done with a 16 gauge needle 🪡. The pain level was 4 but it became an 8 when my ring was been inserted, my eyes teared-up. My sweet-spot was a little higher up, so it took her a minute to find it. My first week, I salt-water soak bid(twice a day) this drastically help decrease my pain/inflammation later. I love my septum piercing! 🤘🏾

I wanted to get a septum piercing for two years but my mother won't let me for fear that the same thing that happened to me with the first piercing would happen to me again since my body is more sensitive than most (she's afraid that my nose falls off), but in general she is not against me having it

my septum was done on angle and i really don’t want to to get redone so is there any hacks with the jewellery i could do to make it less obvious as well as it always moves outwards

I was told that my sweetspot is too small and if i get it peirced that the cartlidge will press on it and make it crooked? What can i do? As i really want a septum peircing i ideally wanted to stretch it to a 8g aswell but unsure sith the small sweetspot?

Got mine done almost a month ago didn’t feel it but my sweet spot was a bit higher than normal. I didn’t even tear up. It barely crusts up lol it’s easy to clean. And thanks to Covid I lost my sense of smell so I don’t even smell anything stinky like people say I’ll experience haha

LOL well that's a positive way to look at loosing your sense of smell 😅 at least you got to bypass the smelly stage as you mentioned haha hope you regained SOME sense of smell since then?

Soo I have my septum piercing for 4 weeks my tips is still sensitive I also believe it got infected. It does bleed when I clean it. However I wasn’t taking care of it like I should have. How long Does the infection take to heal ? I been cleaning twice a day with sensitive non fragrance soap and sea salt x2 a day
@sophiarae8238
@sophiarae8238 2 жыл бұрын
don’t use not fragrant soap or sea salt. Sea salts definitely better then the soap but a lot of piercers recommended a saline medical grade cleaning spray. Use that 2 times a day and try not to mess with the septum or move it around, even if its crooked

I got my septum done yesterday and my piercer had me flip up my piercing while it heals (for some reason) and honestly sleeping was a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. it wasn't painful, just uncomfortable. obviously I can't speak on how sleeping is with the jewelry down, but that was my experience

Is there a reason you specify 14k gold vs 18k?
@peachesandpoets
@peachesandpoets Жыл бұрын
14 K more durable and better for jewelry
@luluah1198
@luluah1198 8 ай бұрын
It’s cheaper not sure why else . I would say don’t buy seam rings if you use gold. Because if you swap it even twice a year the danger is snap! I think 18k and higher is better, (but lighter skinned ppl often don’t like too much yellow, hence prefer 14k) and opt for a seamless hinge to avoid bending. Or a larger captive bead ball ie 4’mm so you can squeeze it in without bending the ring .
