Knox Shield Spectra AAA Rated Jeans Review

Knox have always impressed us with their range of protective jeans and they have just upped the ante: introducing the Knox Shield Spectra Jean.

The Shield jean is a true single layer jean, made with a newly developed Spectra denim. Spectra is an example of an UHMWPE fibre. These are used in high-end protective motorcycle clothing because of their incredible strength (15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than Aramid fibres, like Kevlar®) and abrasion resistance. An added bonus of this material is its light weight and the fact that it moves heat away from your body. Interwoven with stretch denim, it makes for a highly protective riding trouser that is a dream to wear all day long, especially when it gets hot out.
