@Zeros DaBastI'm from Switzerland and here is medical help a first priority. If Police, fire Departement or medical help is in need, the car drivers don't just give a fuck. There are anouncement through the radio or through electronic shields and a rescue lane is formed very quickly. Also most of the people have another mentality and I would say more empathy. I mean look at some of these drivers. This poor guy has to do everything for them, and show them exactly what to do, because they are stupid or selfish. I know what you mean, also in europe there are people like gawper who are disturbing the operational forces or even people who are attackig them.
@feeds76725 жыл бұрын
@Zeros DaBast I don't think so because in a lot of European countries there's a law to do a rescue lane. And the police has a camera that records every car that doesn't do it and the driver will get a ticket then. I think if it would be the same in Asia there would be much better traffic flows

Actually that did happen in Puerto Rico. Some ASSHOLE was blocking an Ambulance and refused to yield the right of way. The Ambulance had a heart attack patient and the crew was doing CPR ENROUTE to the hospital. The ASSHOLE kept brake checking the Ambulance. Patient was DOA at Hospital. That ASSHOLE went home and his neighbors told him that his mother had a heart attack and was taken to Centro Medico in Mayaguez Puerto Rico. The bastard rushed to hospital and was told that his mother had died in an Ambulance that was delayed by a driver who refused to yield. The Paramedic went outside and saw his car and license plate number which he called into the police dispatcher. Upon seeing the license plate number the Paramedic call the Commandancia de Policia de Mayaguez and reported that the driver was at the Emergency Room. It was Sergeant Ramirez who told him that he was responsible for his mother's death and subsequently arrested him for Criminal Negligent Homicide. It was reduced to Voluntary Manslaughter and he plead guilty to a seven year sentence without the possibility of parole.

@MrSaemichlaus6 жыл бұрын
Beijing Emergency vehicle fans Well in a sense. I'm not saying they should impact at speed. Just give them a push to make clear those shiny lights and siren are not a joke. I saw a report of a fire engine that pushed badly parked cars to the side in a narrow street. If you do the math, it's totally not worth saving a pricks bumper to neglect an emergency. Selfish behaviour must not be tolerated. Also, I wouldn't vote for dumb people's rights to be dumb, you see. People are just dulled off to constant stimulae nowadays. But what if the guy in the ambulance who died because of them in a traffic jam turns out to be their uncle? Then they scream and that's the definition of egoism right there. It's a lose-lose in the long-term. Sorry for rambling. Happy new year!

The facts is, in China, most drivers don’t give their ways to ambulances, police cars,fire trucks and even pedestrians. I think the reasons are many drivers just care themselves, even they know the traffic laws, but they still break them. Also in driving schools, they never learned how to give ways on the road, cuz people just spend less than one month on learning to drive. As a chinese, I think we pay too much attention to efficiency but forget obeying rules.
@beijingvolunteerfirstaider22036 жыл бұрын
Indeed, driving school did not teach you how to comply with certain laws, the most important is how to pass the exam, how to successfully graduate. P.S. 既然你是中国人为什么不说中文?

As an Australian paramedic, I'm intrigued by how ambulance services in other countries operate. I just watched the very end of this, and amazed how different things are. I can't believe there were 6 people in the ambulance, plus the patient! How the hell can you effectively treat a patient with so many in the back? If we took a patient with a suspected cerebral or cardiac event from the back of an ambulance to the hospital ED without oxygen or a cardiac monitor (like in this video), we would get our arses kicked big time! I appreciate China is going through massive changes, I just hope the ambulance services quickly get up to the standards of those in North America, Europe and Australia. Is that stretcher a Chinese copy of a Stryker?

Ambulances should be like monster trucks....i mean huge monster trucks with highly stabilised patient cabin.

In China, each emergency vehicle has a dedicated siren: Fire engine: Wail, ambulance: Hi-Lo, police car: Yelp.

And in Poland we have everything mixed up, each police car has different siren sound and lightbar.

您辛苦了呢,向您表示敬意~在帮忙开路的时候也不要忘记自己的安全呢~ According to the law in China, drivers should give priority to the emergency respond vehicles. However, there is no detailed instructions in the law, therefore most drivers don't know how to do that.Therefore, as you can see above, when traffic jam comes, most of the drivers are thinking:"Ah, I want to give way,but there is no space to move." Also, many of the drivers don't want to risk driving over a red light or changing lanes at the crossing, which may cause them be punished by the police(though the punishment can be cancelled, but it means you need to take some time doing lots of "useless" work) So it's really a long way to go before we can see the western style in China.But the things are changing now. As I am now learning in a driving school, it' s a surprise for me to see some detailed regulations about this.

The ambulance was stuck between 0:00-1:26, 3:34-7:04, and 10:28-11:00. When every second counts in that situation, the ambulance was not moving for 388 seconds.

Unbelievable, not a single respect for blue lights at all in that country, you better not have your heart attack there!

You can tell the quality of the lights are sub-par on the other ambulance at hospital drop off, so it's probably the rear and sides weren't even functional on the ambulance we were watching. Only the moped had the brightest lights...
