Yeah, that’s true. Being good consistently instead of being perfect is a permission to act freely - to make mistakes, correct them and have fun. And this is the only way to build wealth. So repeat this cycle again and again ;)

'Perfect is the enemy of good'- but IMO an even better benchmark than striving for 'good' is to first strive for 'sustainable'. Sustainability leads to consistency which leads to momentum which ultimately leads to improvement.

@@samaygoel707 instead of striving for the perfect day like andrew mentioned, strive for a day that would satisfy you and would - in your opinion - be doable over a consistent period of time whithout much willpower. basically set smaller goals first and progress from there
@Jason_lai2 жыл бұрын
@@samaygoel707 yea completely agree with Amina- willpower is overrated. Start ridiculously small and then slowly increase how much you do. E.g. if you want to build a reading habit then start by literally reading 2 minutes a day, then if you can stick to that for a month increase it to 5 minutes, so on. Make it ‘sustainable’ in a way that doing the task feel relatively easy. Remember that the less resistance (e.g. reading 2 minutes instead of 5, having the gym close to you than far away) the easier to build an habit :)

Well sh!t man, no wonder I’m always burning out on my new endeavors. And I did that enough times to where I no longer trusted myself to even begin new endeavors because I figured hell, I’m probably just going to quit anyway, like always. Why begin? This led me to living a bare minimum mediocre life. Bare minimum job, bare minimum wages, bare minimum living situation, everything at the least tolerable comfort zone. I’m gonna try this new approach. Thank you!

"WAGMI" might stand for "We Are Good, Moving Incrementally." This interpretation aligns with the idea that greatness comes from consistent, good actions over time rather than seeking perfection. It reflects the message that progress and growth are achieved by consistently moving forward, even in small increments.

so true, it`s usually our own ego that gets in the way. perfectionism wants to protect the ego so we don`t try. When we see we are still significant and still can allow ourselves to make mistakes we can have progress otherwise we are just protecting an image or story of who we think we are which is just an idea in our mind we can always adjust to a more healthy story/definition so we can take Action !! something we all I think experience but that ego likes to cling to things. lol, peace.

Although self improvement content is good because it makes you realize what you could become, at the same time, it's a curse because it widens the gap between where you currently are and where you could be and this can be overwhelming. Things to overcome this: 0:35 1) Don't optimize everything and seek perfection (specially when taking on something new like a habit). It's about consistently being good enough. You are more likely to stick with something if it good than something that is perfect. 2:03 2) Stop beating yourself up. Don't put a overall negative labels on your self. Instead, reflect to pinpoint your weaknesses and "causes" that lead to your bad decisions and work on those.
